13.01.2022 How are we all surviving in lock down? Child is back at school and I wanted to do something creative so with no clients, I have taken to transforming dogs into renaissance paintings!!! Its super fun, I seriously cannot stop laughing... Here are a couple of my favourites so far. We have Boris the Beagle and Henry the Dalmatian! These were created just with phone photos in the hope that this is something I can perhaps offer until such time that the studio can re-open. Id love to hear your thoughts or at least give you a giggle for your Monday :) <3 T x

12.01.2022 Well hello 2020! Im back and desperately playing catch up from the sessions I did over the Christmas and New Year break... First up is this gorgeous couple who came down from their home in Darwin to see me for their engagement session. I have a fair few interstate clients, with many I feel like were firm friends before we even meet in person and these beautiful people were no exception. I cant wait to photograph their wedding later on in the year <3

04.01.2022 Today is an emotional day for me... No particular reason other than usual mum stuff. Just that sinking feeling that Im failing. I know deep down I am a good mum, but Im not a perfect one. So far from it. Every decision I make in my life is for my boy but I dont always make the right ones and even if they are I doubt myself every step of the way. As I dropped him off at school today, he had tears in his eyes. He didnt say anything but I know he didnt want to leave me. ...I hugged him, I kissed him, told him how much I loved him and how proud I am of the young man he is. He gave me a half smile in return and said yeah I know mummy and off he went. Ive been crying ever since. I have so many hopes for my boy. Not that he becomes a Doctor, or a Lawyer, just that he is happy. That he is kind. That he is brave and that he finds his place in this crazy world. Life at the moment feels hard. There are so many changes to our everyday life that were all adapting to, and our kids are adapting to. Its scary, its sad, and sometimes it feels really overwhelming and my goodness what I would give to have a hug from my mum. Ill continue to settle for a comically mistimed elbow-tap for now Sometimes we just need to be reminded that were doing a good job, even if it doesnt feel like it. So thats what I wanted to do today, just remind you that youre doing a good job. Even if you forget their drink bottle, if you let them stay up late last night on their iPad because you were watching Masterchef, if you snapped at them because they dropped their milo or fed their breakfast to the dog. Someone once told me that if you feel like youre failing it means you care enough to never really fail them. I hope all the Mums manage to have a lovely day on Sunday. To the biological mums, the step mums, the foster mums, the adoptive mums, the stand-in mums, the soon-to-be mums, and the wish-to-be mums. Happy Mothers Day. And to those who are missing their mums, a big virtual mamma hug to you. Especially if its the first year without your mum. Sending my love and strength to you all T x A huge thanks to my beautiful friend Kat from Kat Charlesworth Photography for this photo of my little man and I. I will treasure it forever.

04.01.2022 This will come as no surprise to any of you. I, just like countless others have no choice but to close the doors for the foreseeable future. This is a heartbreaking decision but for the safety of your families and mine, there is no alternative. Sending all my love and strength to everyone.... Please take care of yourselves and each other <3 T x
