23.01.2022 Lakes Entrance. So much to do in this amazing part of Gippsland. Launch a kayak and paddle downstream, take on the currents of Ninety Mile beach, or cruise around the lakes on a tinny and jump off a jetty. And what a way to spend your 3rd Birthday Wally!

21.01.2022 Finding time to move your body during a working day can be challenging. But stretching and activating key muscle groups can lead to an energised mind and assist with concentration. These series of stretches focuses on upper body mobility and can be easily done at your desk. Give them a go and let me know what your favourite is!

But it’s one of my favourite movements as it assists in coordination, builds reflexive strength and helps to reset the nervous system by challenging the body to work in new and different ways. All you need is a bit of space and off you go

10.01.2022 To build a strong, healthy body we must start with mobility. Whether it be easing WFH ailments in the hips, chest and shoulders or increasing the range of motion to begin a strength session, mobility is generally an undervalued but essential element. I'm building my understanding of gymnastics based training via USA National Coach Sommers training program @gymnasticbodies. His approach to building a strong athlete is to first develop mobility and light strengthening of connec...tive tissue. This sees us taking a step back from loading up key muscle groups and focus on increasing the range of motion in areas like the scapula, hips, feet, ankles, knees and wrists. If we don't start with the connective tissue then we'll see problems down the road as the body starts to break down as we add load. Shoulder extension is a movement that builds mobility through the chest and scapula and is an excellent move to counteract sitting at a desk. So grab a resistance band or even a broom stick, and take the band behind you, keeping your elbows straight throughout the whole movement. Aim to complete this move 3-4 times while sitting at your desk or before a workout

08.01.2022 I’m loving reminiscing on old adventures, like this hike at The Grampians with @marcusboadle and @popmag. We camped overnight on top of the pinnacle and took in the most amazing sunset. Where are you planning to head once isolation is over? So much of beautiful Victoria to get out and explore!

08.01.2022 Daydreaming of trekking Wilson’s Prom with @marcusboadle! For @stefboadle’s birthday we joined a stellar crew and hiked to the Lighthouse where we stayed overnight. Was absolute magic! Can’t wait to get back to our favourite place at least one time this year
