25.01.2022 Hi the latest news is we can start competition tennis. Juniors and Seniors will start October 17th. We are going to hold our AGM on Sunday October 4th. 10.30am at the tennis courts. This will be followed a hit of tennis. Junior training will resume on October 6th. 3.15 - 5 pm. On Monday 28th September we are inviting juniors to come to the courts for a hit. You can let me know when you can come 10 -11am OR 11.15 - 12.15pm.... If someone has an interest in helping with training of juniors on a Tuesday please let me know. Joan and I are battling injuries so may not be able to be as active at training as we would like! You would have to have a Working With Children’s Check. Finally we will have quite a few procedures in place due to COVID-19. The club house will not be open. You must sign the register before you enter the courts. You must wear a mask when you are not playing. Have your own drink bottle, racquet,hat. No handshakes, hugs etc. Social distancing at all times.

22.01.2022 Hi everyone I have a few reminders. There will be no tennis this Saturday 2nd November for juniors or seniors. But if juniors want a hit they can enter the tournament, just go to the LVTA website. On Cup Day there will not be any training for juniors. So to find out where you will be playing check the sheet in the shop from Wednesday onwards or go to the LVTA website. Reminder that fees are due. The courts are always open for people to have a hit, everyone is welcome.

21.01.2022 This weekend is the first round of the tennis finals. We have 9 teams playing tomorrow a fantastic effort for our club. 5 junior teams will play in the morning and 4 senior teams in the afternoon. So if you have a son, daughter, grandchild, partner or friend playing wish them well and get along to watch if you can.

21.01.2022 Tennis cancelled. All Saturday tennis, Monday night tennis and Tuesday junior training are cancelled until midnight Wednesday 17th February. This is a state government directive.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone time to put all those tennis shots you have been practising over summer from the couch into use. Junior training starts today at 3.15pm. Saturday tennis resumes on February 1st. Fast 4 tennis is back on February 5th at 7pm at the courts.

16.01.2022 Fast4 Tennis is on again this week. Wednesday 11th December at 7 pm at the tennis courts. Everyone of whatever standard is welcome, we had a lot of fun last week so come along and join in. Cost is $2. Well done to all the teams that played this week end. For the juniors 3 teams played at home. Section 2 had a good win over Traralgon. Section 6 lost by 1 game to Pax Hill, terrific sets. Section 8 gold won by 2 games, they were very excited. Section 7 played at Morwell, Willow Grove had a win. In the afternoon 2 teams played at home. Section 1 were beaten by Pax Hill and Section 2 defeated Traralgon Sth. Tigers. Well done to Barry Buckley and Veronica Penfold for winning their 3 sets. Next Saturday is the last round for the year. On Tuesday we will have training for the juniors, our last for the year.

16.01.2022 The Willow Grove Tennis Club sends condolences to the Roberts family on the passing of Max. Max was an integral part of the tennis club. A past president and a life member. Rest In Peace Max.

16.01.2022 Grand Finals. On Saturday the 30th March we have 2 teams playing in grand finals at Moe Tennis Club. Section 1 singles is playing Drouin White. Good luck to Shane Robbins, Brendan Albert, Paul Fry and Brayden O’ Connell. Section 2 singles is playing Moe White. Good luck to Ray Town, Glen Town and Phil Town. So get along to cheer them on

11.01.2022 We had a fun break up BBQ on Sunday evening. Lots of kids, parents and players. Great to see Bruce Williams and Max Roberts 2 of our life members. Thank you to Sally Kirstine and Hayden Mc. Gowan who had the kids playing some fun tennis games. Great to see some of tennis mums having fun playing fast 4 tennis. Bad luck to our section 2 team who lost the grand final on Saturday. Great match but Glengarry to good on the day. Thanks everyone for a wonderful season see you in September.

11.01.2022 Hi everyone, tennis is back. Our Section 1 & 2 singles teams in the Riverside Association started last Saturday. This Saturday 12 th October the LVTA juniors and seniors will start. Draws yet to be released. But the 2 senior teams will be playing a double header at Morwell at 1pm. Everyone to bring along a small plate of afternoon tea. I will be contacting senior players to see who is available. Junior training is on tomorrow after school, so they will find out teams and draws. Pleased to report we have 4 senior teams and 5 junior teams, great effort for our club.

11.01.2022 Unfortunately our fridge with the freezer section has died. If anyone has a fridge/ freezer in working order that they would like to donate to the club please let me know. Thanks Jo

09.01.2022 Hi everyone, Tennis resumes tomorrow,30th January, weather permitting. Juniors 8.30 am. Section 1, 6 green and gold , 7 at home . Section 5 have a bye.... Seniors Section 1 in Moe Section 2 green and gold at Willow Grove LVTA- at Willow Grove For juniors if weather looks doubtful check the LVTA website. All cancellations will be on by 7.45 am Duty team is section 6 green. Great hitting

09.01.2022 Wednesday at 7pm is Fast 4 tennis for all the community.

08.01.2022 With the easing of restrictions we hope that we will be able to resume tennis very soon. You can still go up to the courts and have a hit, the back 2 courts are always open. If you want to play competition tennis on a Saturday please let me know ASAP. The Latrobe Valley Tennis Association is having a meeting on the 22nd September, so we need an idea of how many junior and senior teams we will enter. 05.01.2022 Congratulations to our Section 1 men’s and Section 2 mens tennis teams. They both won the grand final on the week end. Well done Shane, Brayden, Brendan, Paul, Ray, Glen and Phil.
