25.01.2022 A Metropolitan Pennant Update. Due to the restrictions, Pennant has been reduced to 14 rounds, and will start later. (Hopefully) Weekend/Saturday Pennant(16) - Rd.1 will now start on Saturday November 7th, with the final round 14 on Saturday March 6th. Midweek Pennant(12) - Rd.1 will now start on Tuesday November 10th, with the final round 14 on Tuesday March 9th. An updated list of all the rounds will be posted in the next couple of days.... 25.01.2022 Another update regarding Metropolitan Pennant. The Club has entered 2 sides in Midweek Pennant for 2020/21. 1 x side of 12, & 1 x side of 6 a side. Total: 18 players each Tuesday. The Club has also entered 2 sides in Weekend/Saturday Pennant for 2020/21. 1 x side of 16, & 1 x side of 6 a side. Total: 22 players each Saturday.... Midweek hopefully starts on the 29th September 2020 and Weekend Pennant hopefully starts on the 26th September 2020. Everybody try and have a great weekend. Cheers all. See more

24.01.2022 Hello everybody. Listed below is an update from Bowls Victoria regarding greens. Greens will now remain closed. No roll ups or social bowls for the next 6 weeks to Sunday 13th September. So, no more 'social bowls on the Village Green' for a while. Cheers all.

24.01.2022 Today, Saturday 5/12, it was rd.2 of Weekend Pennant. The Club's no.1 side played away to Hampton Park and didn't fare to well. The Club lost. 68-87 shots and 2-16pts. Gordon Wilson 20-29, Ron Jesson 13-19, Lindsay Weldon 16-24, Maureen Atwell 19-15. Better luck next week. The Club's no.2 side played at home to Noble Park and fared better. They won. 35-19 shots and 14-0pts. John Bonar 15-11, Lance Davis 20-8. Well done.... Tomorrow morning, Sunday 6/12, in the Main Hall is the Clubs' combined Presentations and AGM. Take care everybody. Tonight, Sunday 20/12, was the last Sunday Night Raffle for 2020. The last Sunday Night Raffle was held in March. If you were in attendance, the Club hopes you won a raffle. Village Management donated a prize and Tony Iuliano won the prize. Well done.... The Club's Members Draw was two prizes. $50 & $25. No.58 Kay Smart won the $50 and no.26 Lindsay Weldon won the $25. Well done to both. Hopefully, 2021 will provide a better year, so the Club hopes to see a good attendance at the Sunday Night Raffles in 2021. 20.01.2022 Hi everybody. A short notice to bowlers Social Games have been organised for this Saturday 31/10 and Sunday 1/11 at 1.00pm. Lists are up at the Club. As there can only be 10 players on the green, a second game will start at 2.30pm both days. Currently, 27/10, there are 5 names for Saturday and 6 names for Sunday, so put names down quickly. Tonight, Sunday 24/1, it was the first night back for the Sunday Night Raffles, after a long break. If you were there, the Club hopes you won a raffle. The Members Draw went off as no.56 Karen Speirs was in attendance. Hopefully, the Sunday Night Raffles will now continue.... Don't forget, next Friday 29/1, is Barefoot Bowls + Pizza Night. List is inside the door for Barefoot Bowls, and Pizza orders to be in by Wednesday 27/1. The Club is playing at home against Burden Park that day, so there will be somebody there to take your Pizza orders. Finally, the Club has made a little bit of Club history. First time ever that the Club has been on top of the ladder at the half way mark of the Season in both, Weekend/Saturday Pennant & Midweek Pennant. 14.01.2022 Hi everybody, hope everybody is having a great week so far. A quick update. "Use of the Village Green". # A maximum of 8 people can use the green. # 2 people per rink and rinks - 1, 3, 5 and 7 to be used. # Shared equipment ( mat & jacks) to be handled by one ... person and cleaned before and after use. Hand sanitizer is provided. # Outdoor toilet facilities are at the laundry and beside the swimming pool. # All users of the green must register their name and phone number on the list provided. Hope this will enable people to exercise and put in some practice. There is a sign on the notice board at the club, and remember social distancing. Cheers all. See more

11.01.2022 Hi everybody, today, Wednesday 27/1, it was round 7 of Midweek Pennant, and the Club's, no.1 side in Div.5 played Burden Park at home and won. Well done. 74-37 shots & 16-0pts. Tony Buckingham 29-12, Lindsay Weldon 24-12, Ron Jesson 21-13. At the half way mark of the season, the Club is on top with 94pts. Well done everybody. Keep it up. The Club's no.2 side, a '6 a side' played a Final against Hampton Park away and were, well...., well beaten, so I won't mention any scores... etc. This Friday 29/1, is Barefoot/Fun Bowls & Pizza Night.
