Some patients have said I never get the flu anyway so I dont need it, its important to know you can still be infected and have no symptoms, which puts others at risk. 09.01.2022 Patients often ask can you feel how tight my muscle is?. Below is a great short blog by manual therapist Todd Hargrove. The conclusion, When you feel stiff, remember it is a feeling, and not necessarily a physical condition of shortness that needs an aggressive structural solution. Like other feelings, you feel it more when you are sensitive. And like other forms of sensitivity, it will go down if you improve your overall fitness, strength, awareness, motor control and health. https://www.physio-network.com/why-do-muscles-feel-tight/

07.01.2022 Great article in The Age this morning summed up well by my colleague Sudi from Inner North Osteopathy. Many have an incorrect belief that their pain at work is from their posture or a an incorrect chair.

07.01.2022 Finally! We are starting to see accurate and sensible articles on back pain. If you are unable to read the article the summary is; - 90% of us will have back pain at some point - The best treatment available is exercise - Stretching is "not" effective for back pain - The type of exercise doesnt really matter, but do motor exercises, those that engage muscles. eg cycling, walking, running, swimming, weight training etc.... - 90% of back pain is a non specific cause, meaning a scan or x-ray wont show us the cause http://www.theage.com.au//good-news-for-back-pain-sufferer

02.01.2022 A patient in pain will often remark, But I didnt do anything to cause this! Nerves can get cranky for lots of reasons and its often not obvious. Here are my top 4 reasons in no particular order. 1. Too little movement 2. Too much movement 3. Too much repetitive movement 4. Habitule postures (note, there is no bad posture, just ones we do too much of)
