25.01.2022 Today our Tiny Teddies and Busy Bee children brought in their tooth brushes and paste and after lunch they spent time with their teachers brushing their teeth and discussing good dental hygiene. 24.01.2022 Trick or Treat!? It's Halloween at Willunga! Our children came to school in various costumes like witches, vampires, monsters and so on!... They created pumpkin head for artwork, painted baby dolls, face painting, and we had creepy morning tea, and some halloween cupcakes and donuts that one of our parents brought! See more

24.01.2022 On this beautiful and sunny day, our friend is celebrating his 6th Birthday! The children have celebrated his birthday by singing him a very happy birthday and some children also had a time to say their special message to the birthday boy! A yummy cake was eaten for dessert and lollies bags were also given to all children who are here to celebrate with him! 23.01.2022 Todays weather was sizzling hot! Thus, the children engaged in a freezy activity this afternoon where they used theyre hands to play with the melting ice as they add some colours to paint the ice! This activity is further extending their knowledge on investigation, observation and cause&effect of melting ice and colour mixing! **The children washed their hands before engaging in the activity!

22.01.2022 Todays Cupcake Day at Willunga! The children had a YUMMY afternoon tea as they have the colourful Cupcakes (with fruits on the side) they made in the morning! While making these in the morning, The also children learned measurements as they counted and followed the instructions.

22.01.2022 The book week at Willunga is still happening! The children brought in their educational books as we read them during group times and freeplay time! They also dressed up to their favourite book characters!

21.01.2022 It was Baking Day at Willunga today! The children actively engaged in cake and cookies making with the teacher as they listened to the instruction given by the teachers and took turns to put the ingredient and mix it. Then we had chocolate cakes for our dessert and cookies for afternoon tea! Yum!

20.01.2022 Christmas Concert Poll! Hi Parents, It's almost time for the Christmas Concert. This year we have decided to ask you guys on how we should run our Christmas Concert due to COVID-19. Please have a read below, and comment what you would like to prefer. This year the Christmas Concert will be a shorter one than past years. The children will only be performing two songs and sadly Santa may not be able to 'visit' in person. ... FACEBOOK LIVE: We can upload the concert via facebook live. 20.01.2022 We are celebrating Grandparents' Day at Willunga today! In this time, we sincerely thank our grandparents for being there for us thus we are celebrating itl. The children made lovely flower painting as gifts for their grandparents and had coloured a special greeting letter too! We hope every grandparents are having a good day today celebrating their day despite the gloomy weather! <3!

20.01.2022 It's Friendship Day at Willunga and we are so happy to have all our friends here with us today! We discussed the importance of friendship and how important our friends are to us. The children all washed their hands and wore gloves, having the pleasure of making special fairy bread for their friends to enjoy for afternoon tea today! :)

20.01.2022 BIg School Excursion 2019!!! This was a fun packed morning hat had the children busting at the seams as they spent their morning at Hambeldon Primary School. This was a great opportunity for the children to discuss boys and girls toilets, practise using the bubbler, tour a Kindergarten class, walk through the office and sick bay, use the canteen and meet the Librarian who read a wonderful book with the children!!! We enjoyed a yummy picnic during recess time, as we waved and chatted with some of the students :)

19.01.2022 It is Tree Day at Willunga today! The children engaged in a variety of activities to develop their knowledge on sustainability and ways we can follow these practises everyday. Miss Linda planned a hands-on planting experience for the children. The children resource their own learning through connecting natural and processed materials as we used recycled water bottles as pots for our plants. The children then planted and watered the plants assisted by Miss Linda. The children brainstormed creative ideas on how we can take care of our plants and the environment. It was an awesome opportunity for the children to think about the sustainable practices that will lead them to be sustainable citizens for the future.

18.01.2022 Today is our special friend's 5th birthday and all her friends gathered around this afternoon to sing her a happy birthday! We gave her 5 BIG birthday claps as she shared her delicious cake. We wish you the happiest birthday from all your friends and teachers at Willunga <3

18.01.2022 Today during indoor play Miss Linda set up some fun sushi making with the Busy Bee children, which they were so excited about. The children all washed their hands before putting on their own gloves, and with help and guidance they chose their own ingredients and began to roll their own sushi. The children chose between: -Tuna -Prawn -Cucumber The children had a wonderful time creating their own very yummy sushi rolls, which they will eat during afternoon tea time.

17.01.2022 National Science Week 2020 Its the first day of science week! For todays experiment, the children explored on how colours transfers from 1 cup to another by having the cups connected with a tissue that absorbs the colour! This activity promotes childrens investigation, observation, colour recognition & cause&effect skills while also learning how a mixture of colour can result to a new one!

As we continue on our science learning, the children explored on cause and effect of mixing food colouring to a milk and baking soda to a vinegar today! Its so nice to see our friends participating excitedly as they observe, concentrate, and further develop their colour recognition and problem solving skills

13.01.2022 Today at 11am, the children paused for a minute to remember our great men and women who have suffered in all wars & peace operations. The children engaged in different activities such as making poppies and watched a short youtube video about what happened before, where educators also talked about what we are doing today and who are we remembering.

13.01.2022 CELEBRATING THE DIWALI Thank you to our parent who came to our centre to help us celebrate the Diwali with tradition! The children absolutely loved the event and had such fun! They had Henna and created the Rangoli at the entrance of our centre.

12.01.2022 MELBOURNE CUP DAY The children dress to impress today at our school Melbourne Cup Day event. The children wore their best outfits and had horse races!

12.01.2022 "World Ocean Day" is to bring the oceans at the forefront of global environmental discussions, and plan and execute a sustainable method to save our oceans and the planet at large. Children were engaged in artwork activity using recycling bottles, and watched a video clip called 'Welcome to Australia's plastic beach' to raise the environment issues and discussed about how we can help protect the ocean.

06.01.2022 Argh, Matey! It's Pirate Day at Willunga today and our school was filled with many pirates! The children came dressed in pirate costumes and were given their very own eye-patches and moustaches to wear. The children transformed their hand prints into scary pirates for artwork today!

06.01.2022 SUSTAINABILITY As an extension from learning about sustainability and nature, the children gather around to participate in a hands-on learning experience with Miss Linda. These past two weeks, the children have successfully maintained our recycled garden we created on Willunga Tree Day, watering it daily. Miss Linda and the children transfer our plants that have begun to sprout to continue growing into our large flower pot. The children enjoy taking turns digging up soil and watering the plants. Miss Linda further discusses with the children the importance of sustainability and ways we can apply sustainable practices in our everyday lives.

05.01.2022 International Food Day! We asked the children to bring a dish from their country for International Food day! The children had the opportunity to explore and learn about different foods from different cultures. Some of the children indulged in food they were familiar with as well as try foods they have never tried before. The children got to enjoy a lovely lunch outside as well! :) Thank you so much to all the parents & families for contributing!

05.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK Children at Willunga participated in a special artwork activity in relation to NAIDOC WEEK, as they created Aboriginal flags using their hand prints! We talked about what each colour represents in Aboriginal Flag before painting activity. Tiny Teddies were assisted by the teachers to make the hand prints, and Busy Bees painted their own hands.... Children showed very great understanding through discussion and painting activity, and they were able to create a very beautiful hand print artwork today!

04.01.2022 Acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Islander People and communities, children were engaged in a very special art activity today. They gathered together and engaged in making didgeridoo using dot painting method. They chose colours and dipped the ear tips into the paint and created different shapes and patterns on the cardboard pipe to create very own didgeridoo.

03.01.2022 Some of school kids from Hambledon Public School came to Willunga today to talk to children who will go to big school next year. They talked about what's in the school, what they learn, what their must-do and can-do, homework, and what they bring for lunch. It was very great time for our children as they were able to get to know more about BIG SCHOOL.

01.01.2022 Today we say GOODBYE to some of our much loved BUSY BEES:( as they make the exciting transition to BIg School. We want to wish our pre-preschoolers all the best for their journey of life and it has been a pleasure getting to each individual child and they will be greatly missed!!!

Today, the children did an artwork while exploring on importance of taking care of their teeth!
