20.01.2022 Willunga Basketball Club is seeking casual Basketball Referees for our summer season competition. A minimum Basketball SA referee qualification is essential. ... Games are Monday through to Thursday, juniors to senior's. Game times are below; Monday 4,5,6,7&8pm Tuesday 4,5 &6pm Wed 5.30,6.30,7,30&8,30pm Thursday 4,5&6pm All games are played at Willunga Basketball Club, Main Road, Willunga. Referees are paid per game and rates increase depending on experience, qualifications and the level of the match. We are hoping to have a QR Code and will put this on the door outside. This is how we now need to register for covid. If you do not have a smart phone you will need to make sure you sign in on the covid list as usual. We also need to make sure we are keeping the distance this time. Which have been marked out. 13.01.2022 Hi Coaches/Team Managers, We hope the start of the basketball season has run fairly smoothly for you. As you would be aware, to comply with COVID restrictions, we are required to nominate a COVID Marshal to be present during games. ... Currently we are managing this between several committee members, however due to the large number of teams playing across 4 nights and other required duties, we will need some support from other volunteers. We ask that each team nominate at least one adult who has done (or will do) the COVID Marshal online training. This can be coaches, team managers or parents. The online training is simple and takes about 15 minutes. We will then create a roster and ensure people are only rostered on during your team timeslot. Please send the name and number of your adult(s) who would be prepared to help with this to Anna Aldridge (0458586195). Many thanks for your understanding and support. 04.01.2022 VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED The Almond Blossom is going ahead this year and as part of the rec centre, Willunga Basketball Club is required to fill the time slot at the gate on Saturday 21st November between 4pm and 7pm. We need 3 pple at a time on each gate.... It is down to volunteers to do this. Just wondering if anyone has an hour free to be able to help. 03.01.2022 SUMMER SEASON IS HERE We have eftpos machine now so please pay your $6.50 per game this way. Seniors $8.50 per game... Covid rules are in place remember to come 5mins early as your not allowed in till the previous game finishes and they depart out the exit door at the side of building. Have Fun !!

02.01.2022 Oh, lots of rules. Please read carefully and we can all have a safe happy summer season. Thank you for choosing to play basketball for Season 20/21 at Willunga. Due to Covid, we are following Basketball SA's Level 3 Return to Play guidelines. We will notify you if restrictions change. Please adhere to the following: Stadium capacity is 50 persons. Reception capacity is 12 persons based on the 1 person per sqm rule.... Groups are required to have 2 supervising adults (coach, team manager, parent) not included in the 50 person court capacity. Parents/caregivers are permitted for supervision purposes but must be included in the venue limit. It is recommended parents/caregivers are limited to ONE PER PARTICIPANT. Spectators/parents/caregivers must adhere to social distancing. Players must arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to games commencing. Teams will not be permitted to enter the stadium until previous teams have vacated. EFTPOS facilities are now available and is the preferred method of payment for games. Players are to avoid unnecessary contact - no high 5s, hand shaking etc and must not share drink bottles or other personal items. Anyone who enters the stadium must sign the attendance record for contact tracing purposes. Hand sanitiser is to be used when entering and exiting the premises. Bringing personal basketballs is permitted however all basketballs must be sanitised before and after each game at the "Ball Sanitising Station". Please follow the directions of the COVID Marshal and venue signage at all times. That will be all for now! Enjoy the season Thanks everyone x
