23.01.2022 Watermelon implosion - Room 18 Year are studying Forces in Science and for Science week teacher from WRPS together with 300 other schools across Australia undertook the challenge of how many rubber bands it takes to implode a watermelon. Students and their families had the task of predicting how many rubber bands it took. 21.01.2022 Week 9 Artwork: Students this week did a fantastic job creating their last Movement and Rhythm artwork. Foundation students created movement in their artwork by using visual images that represent day and night. While Grade 2 to 6 students focused on creating movement in their artwork by using visual images representing the seasons changing. I would like to say to all the student's great job completing your art tasks this term. This will be the last Art newsletter until next term. I hope all the students and families stay safe and enjoy your holidays.

15.01.2022 Week 8 Artwork: Students this week continued to work on creating movement and rhythm in their artwork. The students worked hard this week with the Foundation and Grade 1/2 students working on creating movement by using curved lines. While grade 3 to 6 students focused on creating movement in their artwork by using expressive and repeated lines and shading. Great job everyone.

14.01.2022 Week 7 Artwork: This week students started a new topic in art called movement and rhythm with a focus on optical illusions. The students produced some amazing work this week with the Foundation and Grade 1/2 students working on creating optical illusions through the use of repeat lines. While grade 3 to 6 students focused on creating optical illusion art through the use of repeated patterns and lines. I am very proud of all the hard work students are putting into their artwork during remote learning.

01.01.2022 Week 6 Artwork: What a fabulous way to finish our last week of Aborignal art. Foundation and Grade 1/2 students continued to work on their dot painting skills. While grade 3 to 5 students focused on learning about Aboriginal culture and Totem animals art. The grade 6 students started working on creating Aboriginal inspired symbol stories that will be turned into art when we return to face to face teaching. Great job everyone!
