24.01.2022 So the ongoing Prado project. Quick wiring mods to remove the XEDE processor from controlling the engine parameters. Write in the first of the RD Technik tuning files and set up the Torque Pro app to monitor thru the OBD2. Jaw dropped at the average fuel consumption recorded in the ECU, 18.9L/100km!! So tune and 33.8 km trip to check air/fuel which stayed steady 1.0 cruising and hey presto average fuel for run a much healthier 13.0L/100km. Need AFR at 1.1 to 1.2 so another test file tomorrow!

24.01.2022 It still amazes us how many people are obsessed with rail pressure tuning, lazy and dangerous tuning so much so the industry had to introduce relief valves so t...hey simply can't be taken to dangerous levels. Now we see tuning companies advertising alternative valves allowing the rail ressure to be taken way above safe limits. WHY? Learn how to tune you muppets!! I guess the saying is true, there is one born everyday. Yes in few incidences a bees dick of rail pressure increase is approriate. So getting a tune ask the question, it's great to have the highest line on the dyno chart, not so great to be replacing the engine 6 months later. See more

20.01.2022 So our first serious truck! Cat CT630 with an over docile C15 and a major torque curve problem. Now tuned and remapped for highway use. Initial run with 2 empty trailers showed a huge improvement. Hope to have a loaded run soon!

17.01.2022 So gut the Prado and install a Wholesale Automatics torque convertor lockup kit...

10.01.2022 Winters coming...? Remember this day Adam Cloete?

09.01.2022 Case Stieger STX 375 Remap and enhance QSX 15 liter Cummins engine

07.01.2022 Tired of that slow response? Fuel gauge dropping too fast when the caravans hooked up? Black soot all over the caravan? Exhaust belches like a coal fired power ...station? We can help! ECU tuning changes injection timing and duration in common rail diesels to suit Australian fuel quality and our high ambient air temperature. Rail pressure is not increased to unsafe limits causing premature wear on the expensive pump and injectors. Boost is increased by the more efficient burning of the fuel. Exhaust gas temperatures are often lowered due to this change as fuel is not burning off in the exhaust and turbocharger. The ECU still monitors all engine parameters at safe levels and not over ridden by a power chip. Call us and see what we can offer you. See more

04.01.2022 So this 2013 VX 200 series has had the Ecotorq touch. Stage 3.5 low soot file written in ECU for towing, the TCU remapped to improve gearshifts and a 3 1/2 inch stainless steel exhaust with hi flo cats from Outlaw

01.01.2022 So the TC lockup ends like this. OEM push switch in console. Test drive was impressive, locks in all gears and manual downshifts and upshifts are smooth. Big test end of next week towing the van to Karratha with a new TRD remap in the original ECU. Yeh I know... the switches...

01.01.2022 Remapped to stage 3.5 low spot. After 500 km and then tuned a full tank was 120 liters. Another 500 after tune 95 liters and response is awesome
