20.01.2022 Cameron (pictured) and Tony have been very busy lately with the stud White Suffolks lambing at the moment. At lambing we record birth date, birth weight (BWT), birth type (single, twin, triplet etc.) and the dam (mother of the lamb). This year we have used AI (artificial insemination) sires from Waratah, Illoura and Ashmore as well as natural joining to Farrer Rams. We benchmark our sheep using the LAMBPLAN to benchmark our genetics against the industry and make genetic gains year on year.

04.01.2022 Lambing has begun for 2020 at Wilson’s Creek! The first of the crossbred ewes have started lambing this week and will continue for the next 6 weeks. The merino ewes are due to start lambing in around 3 weeks time.

03.01.2022 Over the weekend Tony, Janet and Cameron attended Australian Superfine Woolgrowers Association (ASWGA) Annual Conference in Armidale. For the fleece competition presented at the conference dinner, Wilsons Creek was the New England region fleece winner and also the overall winner of the 80s style category. Cameron also spoke at the conference on his recent experience of attending the International Wool Trade Organisation Congress in Venice, Italy. Cameron was sponsored by the ASWGA to attend as a young professional.

03.01.2022 Triple trouble today at Wilson's Creek with the stud White Suffolks lambing and wing weighed and recorded. must be done for every newborn. Oodles of triplets. So far, 142 lambs from 86 ewes!!!!! Hope the foxes stay away!
