Posted @withregram @vantasticaus Campsite review, Horseshoe Bend, Little Desert National Park, Victoria! Our campsite just a few days before Christmas! An overnighter for us and a stone's throw from Dimboola which we wanted to explore! We expected it to be hectic but there were only three of us using sites overnight! Gravel road in but well compacted at this time ...of year! This would be stunner to visit when it's not quite so hot and dry but we loved it. Whilst the river is flowing it"s probably not at it's best at this time of year but still beaut! Book ahead online with National Parks. $15.80 for the night. Flushing loos Swim or kayak in the Wimmera River and there is river "beach" access! Walking trails and fab sunset Sandy 4wd tracks to explore Roos, possums and loads of bird life, blue wrens ruling the roost in all their tiny bossiness. Those boys sure do love a harem! Fire pits for use in the right conditions and this is definitely a park where you need to think about bushfire safety in general. Check the conditions and be safe! Our favourite things... Watchin" the river flow by The wildlife The sandy desert feel The flushing loo's - C'mon, who doesn't love a flushing loo for number two's.
