We are always looking for new members from our community, get in touch with the page and come join in with our real family club! Unfortunately we can’t offer the full experience at the moment but we will accomodate to get you on the greens!

21.01.2022 To anyone that wishes to pay respects to Matt Walker. Matt's funeral on Friday the 13th November at 2 p.m. If you would like to join you need to hook into www.tuckers.com.au and click Funeral Webcasting. Select Grovedale and then when prompted add the pin number 2633. They will commence live casting from about 1.50 p.m. If you are unable to get there by web on Friday after a few days it will be in the website and select www.tuckers.com.au Funeral Webcasting, Archived Funeral Webcast and put in pin number when directed, it will probably not be available before the following Tuesday as they check the footage and do editing. Annie would also like to say thanks to everyone for their kind words and thoughts over this difficult time.

21.01.2022 WINCHELSEA BOWLS CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 26/11/2020 AT 7.00 P.M. The Board of Management have decided to hold the 2020 AGM at 7 p.m. by zoom on Thursday the 26th of November 2020. This will be a somewhat streamlined meeting to those of previous years. Included will be minutes of the prior years’ meeting, President’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, appointed members for the new board and announcement of Selectors and Match Committee and Green Keeper/s. Any questions which h...ave been submitted by the 23rd to the Secretary will be addressed by the Board if able to do so in the time available. Obviously, these are different and difficult times so more may be included if able to do so but as each day forward is unknown at this point we will be trying to move forward with the meeting being kept to a minimum. The draw will be done the day before and events will commence at 9-30 a.m. 21 UP 7TH NOVEMBER 100 UP 14TH NOVEMBER MENS CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS 21ST NOVEMBER MENS CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES 28TH NOVEMBER... MENS CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLES 5TH DECEMBER MENS CHAMPIONSHIP FOURS 12TH DECEMBER OBVIOUSLY THESE EVENTS WILL FORM A ROLLING CALENDAR AND NOW THAT THE NIGHTS ARE LONGER ONCE THEY GET THROUGH THE INITIAL MATCHES YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY WEEK EVENINGS, SUNDAYS UNLESS ENTERED IN STATE EVENTS ON THE SUNDAY. 14.01.2022 Just to be very specific on bringing cold drinks to the green they definitely need to be non alcoholic beverages please. Sorry about that all, hopefully the 19th Oct or shortly afterwards will see the re opening of our rooms and some service of alcohol. Thanks for your patience, learning as we move forward.

12.01.2022 A number of members have already paid their fees into the bank account to date, thank you for getting on board with this system. A few of us played 2/4/2 for a couple of hours yesterday which was very enjoyable. We aim to return next Saturday 10th October at 1.30 p.m. and everyone who would like to get some practice is warmly welcomed at 1.30 p.m. You can form your own groups and times if you like. The idea is LETS GET ON THE GREEN and enjoy some play!! You will need to bring your own cold drinks and follow all the Bowls Vic and Chief Health Officer's regulations for play. Signs, sanitiser and contact tracing book regs need to be followed.

09.01.2022 THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HAS NOW BEEN RESHEDULED FOR SUNDAY THE 27TH OF JUNE AT 10.30 A.M. HOPEFULLY LUNCH AFTERWARDS, BUT WE WILL CHECK IN WITH THAT CLOSER TO THE DATE. The club will be open on Friday the 18th June with our usual members draws and raffle. Saturday bowls will recommence on 19th of June at noon. 08.01.2022 SURELY IT IS STOUT O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE Joe Axon 19-9-1925 - 5-6-2021 We are saddened to hear of the passing one of WBC greats Joe Axon today. Joe we hope your enjoying a few bowls and a couple of stouts up there! Don’t stress we will keep Julie in line! Winchelsea bowls club would like to offer their condolences to Julie, Neville and all of the Johnson family. May you Rest In Peace

08.01.2022 VALE DON WORLAND A LIFE MEMBER OF THE WINCHELSEA BOWLS CLUB. Winchelsea members once again received some sad news late yesterday with the passing of Don. He had held many office bearing positions within the club and was an invaluable coach and support to many up and coming bowlers throughout his bowling career. Don was also the Chairman of Corangamite Bowls and at the same time Group President Regional Councillor for 9 years. Don was also successful in some State Teams Events. His funeral will be at The Hub, Eastern Reserve Winchelsea on Friday the 2nd of July at 10 a.m. You can find out more information from tomorrow by hooking into The Geelong Advertiser "Death, Funeral Notices and Tributes which is free to all to access. 04.01.2022 Winchelsea Bowling Club have lost one of their most loveable characters. Our ‘Great Scot’ Matt Walker passed away suddenly at home yesterday morning. Rest easy big fella, enjoy all the bowls and scotch you can fit in up there. All of our Condolences to Annie and family. RIP
