25.01.2022 The first time we saw this patient she told us she has agoraphobia, a fear of leaving her house. She had found the courage to make some big changes in her life and rewarded herself with a hair and teeth makeover in the process. We are so proud to be a part of this transformation journey with her.

25.01.2022 After advice today from the Australian Dental Association and Health Department, Winchelsea Dental Practice will be closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.. We do not take this decision lightly, but level 3 restrictions placed on the provision of dental treatment restricted us on what services we can provide to the community. Our priority is always the safety of you and our staff as well as our responsibility to stop the spread of coronavirus. Emergency tr...eatment can be accessed at Colac Dental Practice by contacting 5231 2755. We will be back as soon we can- as we love Winchelsea! We shall keep you posted as things change. Take care everyone - we will be ok - just stay safe and stay home! See more

24.01.2022 A very satisfying case to wrap things up for Dr. Thanh Nguyen before she heads off on maternity leave. You will all be in safe hands with Dr. Mark Low until she is back

24.01.2022 It has been shown sugar in liquid form has far greater health consequences than in solid form, and it is very easy to overconsume. Additionally, a lot of bevera...ges contain around the daily recommended limit of added/free sugars in one serve! Packing water for children's school lunch, and not having liquid sugars available in the home, are both simple ways to cut down excess added and free sugar intake.

24.01.2022 This gentleman had severely worn teeth, which had caused his mouth to over close. We decided to open his bite back up and restore his smile using resin, which reduced the wrinkles at the corners of the mouth that had formed as a result of the over closure too. His missus was wrapped and he was pretty happy too

24.01.2022 The announcement of level one restrictions allows us to provide all dental treatment to our patients from this week. Things still look at little different as we ensure we follow all regulations to keep you and your family safe. Call us on 52672071 or book online at www.winchelseadental.com.au

21.01.2022 This young man wasn't happy with the look of his teeth but didn't want to get braces. We discussed the different options and settled on resin veneers as a cost effective fix for the crowding and central gap. Two visits later and he is wrapped, happily smiling for photos now.

20.01.2022 Meet Frank. He wants people to go to the dentist before a sore tooth takes them there. We’re excited to launch our "Take Control" campaign today that directs Vi...ctorians to an ADAVB member dentist. The ADAVB and Frank the Molar are encouraging Victorians to take control of their dental health and to avoid pain and prevent complex dental issues by seeing an ADAVB dentist regularly. 17.01.2022 Colac Dental Practice are helping us by providing emergency treatment to Winchelsea whilst we are closed. They are providing an exceptional service and we thank them for keeping all of our patients well looked after in this difficult time.

16.01.2022 A closer look at the last case. We can see the severe wear and acid erosion caused over the years. The patient's low lip line meant we were able use a lighter shade without bleaching the teeth beforehand and still achieve a brighter smile.

13.01.2022 We are open as an essential service and operating under the advice of DHHS Victoria, AHPPC, Dental Board and Australian Dental Association. 10.01.2022 Is that healthy recipe you’ve been given really healthy? Or is it actually full of sugar? Sugar has many names - white sugar, raw sugar, honey, rice malt syrup..... 1 TEASPOON of any of these still has 4 grams of sugar. Food companies develop new names for added sugars all the time - agave syrup, beet sugar, coconut sugar, malt - that sounds healthier than sugar right? They are all exactly the same - sugar. WHO recommends no more than 24g or 6 teaspoons of sugar per day.

08.01.2022 This beautiful patient attended our clinic with the intention of having all her teeth removed and false teeth made down the track. Dr. Nguyen discussed the reasoning behind her request. She had a terrible history of bad experiences with dentists in the past and just wanted to be rid of her teeth so she wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. She hated the look of them but didn't want to keep coming back to the dentist. She agreed to restore the appearance of her teeth usin...g some resins as a compromised and cost effective option to at least give her the confidence to be able to smile for now. Three hours later, the patient was so happy she reconsidered her previous request to have them all removed. Very rarely are your teeth in such poor condition that warrants full removal and dentures but we do understand that you may no like going to the dentist, especially if you've had a bad run. We work together with you on the root cause to ensure you have the best possible outcome in the long run.

04.01.2022 Does anyone ever tell you that you have a nice smile? Doesn't it make you feel really great? This patient didn't like the gaps between her teeth. In a couple hours we were able to fix them for her and she is now able to enjoy compliments when she smiles.
