19.01.2022 Some questions have been asked in the first post on the launch of the Barcaldine winch challange, We will try and answer some as best we can. Transporting cars - it was said that comp cars will have to be trailered in and out of town, At this point it is still the case, we are looking for alternative ways of getting around this. There is no permit in Qld that will allow us as an organization to do so, we are aware of what other comps and clubs do and have explored the option...s without any luck. If any one can offer any genuine help please PM us. Winching - trust us there will be some very challenging winching to be done we have some tricks up our selves, It may be flat out west but that will not stop the winches from being used. The area has the potential to make a great comp with some great stages, multiple cars on stages at once drag racing down the river. massive GPS runs, long point to point rally stages, night runs. technical winches and much more right on the edge of town and we have more properties/land to explore.

12.01.2022 Hi all - some more info about the Barcaldine Winch Truck Challenge:- Thanks again to Dobinsons 4WD Suspension Rockhampton for coming on board!! We are proud to announce that we have $6000 Prize Money (Cash) up for grabs, along with numerous other prizes!!... As more sponsors come on board there will also be more prizes and / or cash put up for grabs too. We are still working on the transportation issue for the Comp Vehicles - however looking promising for a solution - waiting on more info, which should come through over the next week. We have camping available at the Showgrounds with great facilities there to use. However there are LIMITED Powered Sites available, but plenty of unpowered sites. There is also some undercover sites, for those who want to use this just to roll out a swag!! We have a couple of short videos from our trip out to Barcaldine last weekend, which we will load up later today for you. For ALL Entry / Camping Forms & for any Spectator / Camping forms - please email to [email protected] & we will send any forms you need out to you to complete & send back. 11.01.2022 Hi all , WTC has been busy looking at running a long coarse event in outback Queensland . We are looking at around June to Sept . We are currently waiting on confirmation from local council and local police . We hope to have a town based event and convoy to stages , this very close . Our aim is involve the local town in all of the event eg; show and shine , prolog etc . Due to Christmas we are unlikely to here back from the departments until after Christmas. More info will come out as we get it . Thank You .

07.01.2022 Hi all!! WTC is proud to annouce, along with the Barcaldine Regional Council - the Barcarldine Winch Truck Challenge is going ahead!! Date to be 25th August to 31st August, 2018. Starting Saturday morning with Show & Shine with multiple day and night stages for the duration of the week, finishing Friday 31st August, with presentation following.... Camping will be at the Barcaldine Showgrounds with both powered & unpowered sites and full amenities on site. Transport of Comp vehicles will be required to & from camp to comp site. Maximum of 5klms. Catering can be arranged if there is enough support / interest for this. Stages will consist of Long Drives; GPS; Rally Stages; Long Sand Runs; Winching; Multiple Cars on Stages. Rules will be WTC Rules with some amendments to come. Sponsors to be released shortly. More info as it comes to hand. You can contact us by pm if you have any queries & we will contact you.
