20.01.2022 Still so in love with our Lavender & Rosemary shampoo bars. Since we started making them over 4 years ago, this is the only shampoo that I use on my hair. I even try to take it with me for the hair dressers to use & I kick myself when I forget! I used to wash my hair every second day, but with our shampoo bars I only need to wash it twice a week!

14.01.2022 Inspirational Women. To all of the creatives out there; who was the person who inspired or encouraged your talents? For me it was my Granme, Shirley. One of the most inspiring & influential women in my life, Granme herself was a creative; providing for her family by way of sewing, painting & making china dolls. She was fiercely independent, strong & talented & I like to think that I inherited some of those traits as well as her creative flair. As children, my sister & I spent countless hours in her sewing room with her painting china plates & bars of soap, sewing dolls clothes & carving soap turtles (soap crafts seem to be a recurring theme, maybe that inspired me). Last week Granme passed away, allowing for times of reflection & remembrance. I hope that I can honour her memory by being half the woman she was.

They come when I call them, stand quietly while they eat their pellets & they never mess in the dairy so I can wear normal clothes & dont end up filthy (its active wear today, comfortable clothes for soap making). This is usually my wind down time at the end of the day before all my jobs are done.

Today I picked up this gorgeous armchair from our local vintage store When I Was A Kid Vintage for all those times when answering emails etc. Within an hour it has been taken over by little Frankie who loves to keep me company while I work. She thinks the chair is perfect Jack Russell size
