13.01.2022 Recently decorated by a long term resident just finished studies interior design. Painting and carpentry all done in house. So happy with the result. We’re a talented lot and love our home. The kitchen was done some time ago by Bill McMillan. Poplar bench and shelf sourced from The Forgotten Valley.

12.01.2022 In memory of: Miss Molly Kildae who managed Windermere (for Captain Goode the then owner) for 10 years from 1978 until 1988. Molly would hang a sign out VACANCY GENTS ONLY she ruled the roost.

11.01.2022 A transformation BEFORE and AFTER shot Upgrade by Bluecarp thank you Jose and Kevin Trasler. As well we replaced the large timber beam holding up the verandah with a steel RSJ.

11.01.2022 Strict rules in an effort to prevent Corona Virus being introduced into our establishment. It’s working well so far.

09.01.2022 Corona Virus lockdown, some residents jobless. We found plenty to do, keeping occupied. We got one resident a job fencing he’s usually a Chef. We are most fortunate to be Corona Virus free thanks to our amazing cleaners and residents being diligent. We’re keeping the gates open (less things to touch).

09.01.2022 Anna Toka a long term resident (from 19/7/2004 to 2014) and friend to everyone would have turned 49 today St. Patrick’s Day. Sadly she left us suddenly on the 9th March. Anna will be buried in New Zealand on the North Island. Anna was very popular with all our residents and especially popular with her work mates and the patrons at the Gaslight Hotel where she worked for 20+ years. RIP Anna you will be sadly missed by many of us.
