21.01.2022 Put on hold due to COVID-19, we are pleased to be able to run these wonderful community art programs again - with thanks to the WestConnex Community Grant Scheme. This wonderful grant has provided members of our Life After Work (LAW) Day Program the opportunity to participate in two new art programs - an art therapy class to heal memories of the past and improve mental health and large format art creations around ‘connecting with nature’. These beautiful artworks pictured her...e reflect their unique view of the natural world around them, which includes some outdoor sketching as well as painting in the LAW men’s shed. These artworks are expected to feature in a future exhibition (hopefully this year!) and build upon their skills and creativity, as well as providing a voice to communicate and improve mental health. A big thank you to WestConnex for allowing the opportunity for adults with intellectual disabilities to build upon their skills. We look forward to seeing their designs emerge over the coming weeks and for viewing at an exhibition soon! #WestconnexCommunityGrant #GrantRecipients #Art #Nature #AbilityNotDisability #Sydney #Australia
