24.01.2022 The details of the ewes we have available for sale are on Gumtree. This morning I had a look at the ewes to see what I actually have left, but forgot to take photos before I let them out I'll take more specific photos at shearing. Turns out I have more than a handful available to sell.

22.01.2022 We said goodbye to the last 5 ewes and our ram this morning, they're going to Marnong Estate, Craigieburn to entertain the guests in their animal farm. With the price of hay the way it is, I'm determined not to buy any this winter so I have reduced our numbers by half, and will focus on some paddock rejuvenation over the next 12 months. I'm looking at replacing a couple of ewes with some nice stud flock ewes and a new ram to 'upgrade' the flock for next breeding season. There... are 2x 12 month old ewes and a 3 month old lamb (weaned) available for sale if you would like a couple of nice lawn mowers. They're all vaccinated, wormed and ready to go. 21.01.2022 A Broody Wyandotte... I've taken advantage of the 'free egg hatching service' and given her 8 leghorns to hatch This is in addition to 3 dozen we put in the incubator last weekend- a nice early start to hatching season for a change Hoping for more girls this year.

They're also very hardy and resistant to many illnesses, they don't get broody and have an even temperament, making them easy to introduce to new flocks without stress. 10.01.2022 A day to myself since Christmas and I'm making these 'kebabs' from one of Luke Hines' earlier recipe books, Clean Living with our very own mince. Mince is so versatile and quick to put together and this batch is also very lean. 05.01.2022 The mower is out of action and being serviced for a couple of weeks so these lucky wethers get a fresh paddock, although temporary. I'm looking forward to seeing how they look after shearing in a couple of weeks. I'll be selling a handful of ewes after weaning mid November to make room for a few new 'upgrades'.
