25.01.2022 A request from Queensland Lion! "My wife and I are travelling to Launceston on 28 Dec, and travelling around Tasmania back to Launceston on 13 Jan. I have booked flights and the majority of our accommodation. However this morning I have discovered there is a shortage of hire cars in Tasmania. Due to Covid car hire companies have disposed of 50% of their fleet and now there is a severe shortage. I know this is a strange request but I am inquiring as to whether any of your memb...ers have a spare car ( small don’t care what it is) that they may want to loan me ( we can’t hire it due to insurance implications ) in exchange for a cash donation to either the individual or your Lions Club. " I have contact details if anyone is able to help. This is going to be a REAL problem this year so the government may yet figure out some way to provide more transport options. https://www.abc.net.au//tasmanian-hire-car-shorta/12961424

21.01.2022 I might be helping people cheat on quiz answers ... sorry not sorry. Merry Christmas all.

18.01.2022 Saturday Convention Action! More to come.

12.01.2022 Sunday after the convention!!

11.01.2022 Convention Update: we are now full. We have 95 Lions and 27 Guest! This means we have now hit the threshold for how many people we can have in one space (excluding staff). It has been an overwhelming response. Thank you to everyone. See you there on 6-8th November.... [We have hit a small snag trying to purchase conference supplies because NONE of the stock has arrived in stores as no one has had events since March! Organisers making do with what they can scrounge so everyone is not to worry ... but be aware if you are going to have an event in the near future. Lots of sanitiser though.] Edit 2/11/2020: two cancellations (from today) so if you know of anyone who wants to come to the dinner let me know!!

09.01.2022 Done. Thank you to everyone for the support, assistance and attendance. See you at Convention 2021.
