25.01.2022 The Paddle Australia Canoe Marathon Technical Committee (PACMTC) has decided to cancel the 2020 Paddle Australia Canoe Marathon Championships. Paddle Victoria ...will process full refunds in due course. In addition to this the PACMTC has decided not to send a team (juniors, seniors and masters) to the 2020 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in late August in Norway. These decisions were not made lightly and in the best interest of health and safety of canoe marathon athletes. To remain up to date with the COVID19 and its impact on the paddling community please visit the below link.

22.01.2022 Batemans Bay Paddle Challenge - new Start Time - 10:00am. The forecast for Saturday continues to indicate very high temperatures which are a concern for organis...ers and competitors alike. To minimise paddler exposure to these high temperatures we have had little choice but to bring the Start Times further forward. 26km Start Time - 10:00am 13km Start Time - 10:15am 6km Start Time - 10:30am Further, we have felt it necessary to make changes to the course, which will now be run as series of 6km laps. The 26km Course will now be three (3) 6km laps, for a total of 18km. The 13km Course will now be two (2) 6km laps, for a total of 12km. The 6km Course remains unchanged as 1 lap. We appreciate that some paddlers may be disappointed with these changes, but we are confident that everyone understands that the safety of all paddlers must come first. The Final Start List, as at close of entries, and with any distance changes as requested can be seen HERE https://www.webscorer.com/startlist?raceid=208849 Paddler Check-in will open as early as possible on Saturday morning, with Race Briefing (mandatory for all paddlers) to be at 09:30am. Please remember to bring and drink plenty of fluids in the lead-up to, and during your race.

13.01.2022 In response to further development of the COVID19 situation, PaddleNSW has decided to suspend events scheduled between now and 31 May 2020. This means that the ...following events will not be proceeding: 21/3/20 State Single Marathon Championships at Windsor 5/4/20 State Double Marathon Chamionships at Lane Cove 3/5/20 Marathon Series Race at Narrabeen 17/5/20 Marathon Series Race at Tacoma 31/5/20 Marathon Series Race at Davistown 9/5/20 Harbour Series Dolls Point Classic (Dolls Point) 17/5/20 Harbour Series Iron Cockatoo (Drummoyne) As a community sporting organisation, we have a responsibility to play our role in limiting the spread and impact of COVID19. Stopping these events is a relatively easy way to reduce the risk of community transmission and the potential consequences for members of our paddling community. We know this decision will be a disappointment to many paddlers, clubs and volunteers. We share that disappointment. Over the next few weeks, we will work with the affected clubs to assess alternative arrangements. We will share that information as early as we can. A more detailed explanation of the rationale behind this decision is available on the PNSW website HERE, and in the letter attached. Please note that the Windsor Marathon State Championship event is postponed.....it is our intention to run this event at a later date, and as soon as possible. We will let you know of the alternative date as soon as we can.
13.01.2022 Windsor Paddlesports Club Inc. has been successful in securing a grant for $801,218 under the Greater Sydney Sports Facility Grant Funding program, for the construction of a multi-purpose paddle sports facility building which will house water craft storage, change rooms, amenities, a meeting room and kitchen. The building is to be located within the grounds of Macquarie Park in Windsor on the beautiful Hawkesbury River on land donated by Hawkesbury City Council. Our club woul...d like to thank and acknowledge a number of organisations for their letters of support and for general assistance in getting us to this point which has been a long process but certainly one that is worthwhile to the paddle sports community, and also for the general community who will also have a great venue for meetings and running their functions. Firstly the State Government for the opportunity to apply for the grant funding, our State and Australian Paddle Sport bodies - Paddle NSW and Paddle Australia for their letters of support, Pink Finss Charity, Kurrajong North Richmond and Windsor Rotary Clubs, NSW Dragon Boat Association and Hawkesbury City Council who all gave us letters of support for our grant application. A special thanks also needs to go to Hawkesbury Sports Council for a donation of $25,000 and a letter of support that will be added to the grant fund monies, and finally the members of Windsor Paddlesports Club who have never given up hope of making this dream come to reality and for their $25,000 input taking the total funds for the project to $851, 218.
