08.01.2022 Wingdinging with WV: Hooray, with most of Melbourne now back in range to get on the water, it’s time to start to think about enjoying activity again. And there is even more good news!!! ... Wingsurfing/Wingboarding/WingFoiling/Wingdinging or Freewinging, whatever your choice of names for this new exciting activity is now covered under Windsurfing Victoria (WV). Our new public liability policy (underwritten by Australian Marine insurer Trident Marine) now extends to cover WV members beyond the more traditional windsurfing activities; from this membership year renewal, WV member insurance now provides that same level of cover to Wingsurfing etc. All the more reason to get back on board. Bring on summer!!! http://wv.org.au/registration

06.01.2022 COVID CRUNCHED - 2021 Nationals Cancelled The Australian Windsurfer Class committee has made the very difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Australian Champ...ionships scheduled for Easter at Parkdale Yacht Club. The current COVID scenario in Victoria left little choice with no guarantees the event could run, that competitors from all States could attend or that any sort of social program could happen during the event. Full refunds will be given to all competitors You can read the full release from the WCAA http://www.windsurferclassaus.com//1/wcaa_nats_16.2.21.pdf Massive thanks to the volunteers at PYC for all the efforts in planning - a massive amount of work has gone in. And the support of our awesome Class sponsors Surflogic Australia, Vaikobi, #MobiumGroup and #Windgenuity all of who have already contributed significantly to support the event. Needless to say there will be a lot of disappointment about the Australian Championships decision but the Class is moving forward with future National events for 2021 including: Mid-Winter Championship to be held in North Queensland in June/July Australian Masters Games to be held in Perth in October Rest assured, we will be back together on the water soon. Bigger and better than ever. Don’t forget you are part of the one of the largest, fastest growing and most fun sailing Classes - there are now over 750 Windsurfer LT’s in Australia.
