How amazing is the packaging, complete with tasting notes and a free bottle opener with your first delivery?! The positive note definitely put a smile on my face and the gratitude postcard was also appreciated. Despite knowing the contents would make me happy , the little touches we're designed to elicit positive emotions. I talk about positive em...otions A LOT, primarily because they do so much for us not only in the moment, but long into the future. They're like insurance for when something bad happens or when we're just having one of those shitty days. They act as buffers and remind us of how good life is, despite the setbacks and current circumstances. They bolster (love that word) our resilience and broaden our minds. The other week I said "tight finish" and my husband was like "WTF"? Forgive me, it was a few glasses in. "Succinct finish" perhaps? ... This is a much better description ;) "The chemical compound geosmin may be the culprit for the earthy quality in wine. A Greek word, it translates to earth smell. I've gotten into a habit of using my 'end of the day' wine as an opportunity for reflection and a bou...ndary from 'work mode' to 'home mode.'
