24.01.2022 Tickled pink, proud as punch of Lolly, big silly grin on my face It’s a great day for WineGarden Warmblood Stud and a great day to be a Hanoverian WG Confection

18.01.2022 Premium Mare Candidate CAN JUMP! WG Confection gave me huge thrills at the Hanoverian Mare Performance Test in the Hunter Valley yesterday, topscoring in the freejump with 8.5 for technique / style which Dr Ludwig Christmann described as super style and good attitude! An 8 overall for jumping for this youngster for free jumping at heights and widths she had never attempted! Never backed off, never baulked, you Go girl! Great attitude and confidence jumping Then on ...to classification with more great scores for conformation, then seeing her ridden for the first time. As a breeder, it does your heart so much good to see dreams come true like this when your mare’s innate qualities & strengths are assessed! Lolly hadn’t been ridden by anyone other than the wonderful Grace Kay who rode her beautifully through the dressage test for gaits assessment, but she then happily submitted for Rideability assessment by the Guest Test Rider, Lizzie Wilson Fellowes. How lucky are we to have such a professional and unbiased Test Rider & so much talent in one arena! By this stage I was just grinning like a fool! WG Confection classified into the HHSA Main Mare Studbook and a PREMIUM MARE CANDIDATE !!!!! That’s like the German St.Pr.A. status. In her Mare Performance Test, Lolly’s high scores have met the criteria for triple of Dressage Mare, Jumping Mare and Dual Purpose Mare! Thanks to Grace for bringing not just Lolly but all my youngsters on so correctly and always following the training scalethanks to Lizzie for being the Test Rider when she must have been exhausted after such phenomenal performances at the Willinga CDIs, thanks to Dr Ludwig Christmann who is so willing to share his vast knowledge to help breeders, to Sabine Schmoelzl who has been such a wonderful guide for me in the HHSA, to Sheridyn for the unbelievable venue, and to the whole HHSA committee who constantly give their time to organise the Hanoverian National Tour and to improve the quality of the Hanoverian Breed in Australia WG Confection Contenda x Honours List xx

13.01.2022 BEST JUMPING MARE of Hanoverian Tour 2020!! What a thrill today to read Dr Ludwig Christmann’s report and his assessment of my beautiful WGConfection as the Best Jumping Mare of the Hanoverian Australian Tour! The best jumping mare of the tour was the four-year-old WG Confection by Contenda out of a thoroughbred mare by Honours List xx, bred and owned by Pam Maclean, WineGarden Stud. Her final score for free jumping was 8.0. She excelled with a very ...good technique and a great attitude. Pam Maclean breeds horses mainly for eventing and in this discipline the mare should have a great future. Super technique and style and good attitude a really good sloping of the shoulder and saddle position Nice mare, a very nice walk, super walk, elastic trot, has natural ability to sit at the canter, lovely when she goes more forward and covers a lot of ground, when she is stronger she will have more carrying power per Dr Ludwig Christmann, responsible for international Hanoverian breeding in the Hanoveraner Verband Lolly is by Contenda (Contendro x Bolero) out of a stylish TB dam, Emerald Lass, who was herself classified into the Hanoverian Studbook scoring an 8 and with a lovely jumping pedigree So much gratitude to Grace Kay who always encouraged Lolly’s natural confidence and good attitude
