15.01.2022 S.O.S Wines is a project by Jason Searle and William Downie, young and bright winemakers in Victoria their philosophy is to produce savoury, textural wines that speak of place and offer something interesting. With their winemaking experiences between Australia, Italy & France, their aim is to make some affordable wine that was removed from the shadows of typical ‘New World’ wine making practices. For Save Our Souls wines, the fruits are sought from several different vineya...rds spanning both the Yarra Valley and the Mornington Peninsula. 'Skin On Skin' Chardonnay is sourced from the Peninsula where the vines are planted on a very gentle north facing slope of red brown clay loam.21 days maceration on skins and minimal intervention, unfiltered and unfined. 01.01.2022 Organic & biodynamic wines since 1997, Castagna is making classic old-world wine with new-world fruit. Beechworth is the land where the Castagna Vineyard is situated, at an altitude of 500 metres in Northeast Victoria, high in the foothills of the Australian Alps.
