23.01.2022 Vale ex Training Captain Tom Bennett, George Medal. (3 Sept 1927 - 27 Sept 2017) 12 midday Thursday 5 October The Great Northern Garden of Remembrance Tallowood Drive, Deception Bay, Qld Polly Bennett advises all welcome. I for one am saddened. He was one of the greats.

04.01.2022 I believe this is " Hawdon " in Melbourne in 1979 prior to being repainted in original TAA colours.

04.01.2022 School 220 who started on 25 May 1970 held a reunion in Brisbane at Portside in August 2010. Sue Kirkwood held pre lunch drinks at her home and accessed some memorabilia, old uniforms and old training material from Jill Ryder. Carol Longmire came up from Adelaide and Heather Stewart and Janette Hardy from NSW. Maureen Cody (Crump) joined in by telephone. A lovely day with old friends.

03.01.2022 Elaine Judith Smith AM 1927 - 2012 was the founder of Wings Away. In October 1963 Elaine commenced as Hostess Superintendent with TAA and on 24 March 1966 called the first meeting of ex-TAA hostesses to form an Association. For more information on Elaine as the Founder of Wings Away and the history of the organisation contact Patricia (Pat) Merlehan the author of recently published TAA to Wings Away.
