25.01.2022 The Big Anxiety Festival (on in Sydney until 9 Nov) allows us, the community, to directly interact with mental health through a cultural platform that mixes both arts and science. A collaboration between UNSW Sydney and the Black Dog Institute, it aims to examine what makes us anxious as individuals and in our social groups. Learn more through their page. 24.01.2022 WINTER SOLSTICE 2020 this Sunday 21 June at 6.00pm VIRTUAL ONLINE EVENT Winter Solstice is an annual community event supporting those affected by mental illness and suicide. Due to the COVID - 19 restrictions, Winter Solstice will be a virtual online event, so this year you can help us to shine a light on the darkest night from any part of Australia or the world. Hosted by Survivors of Suicide and Friends, Winter Solstice is in its 8th year and will feature keynote speakers i...ncluding Olympic basketballer Lauren Jackson (AO), British mental health campaigner Jonny Benjamin (MBE) and mental health expert Professor Patrick McGorry (AO). There will be musical performances by Liv Cartledge and The Northern Folk and the entire line up will be streamed on the Winter Solstice Facebook page. 18.01.2022 Don't forget to register to attend on Saturday 21st November for the annual WINGS of Hope Gathering - Inspiring Hope, a special service for those bereaved by suicide at 10am at Balmoral, NSW. Registration is required to attend due to COVID restrictions. Details are below with a booking link. We hope you can join us for this special event as part of the global initiative International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day and will be one of the many gatherings around the world bringing together those bereaved by suicide.

17.01.2022 We are pleased to have someone from our community raise awareness and fundraise for those bereaved by suicide. Skye Ramsay will literally be fighting for more awareness around mental health and supporting those bereaved by suicide at the Cairns Charity Fight Night on Saturday 4th April 2020.
16.01.2022 A very successful Mental Health First Aid Course held over the weekend with some very special participants that added so much experience to the table. It was an honour to share and be vulnerable in the safe space created by the fantastic and sensitive workshop presenter, Liz Whyte and the wonderfully diverse people attending. 11.01.2022 We are sharing this survey from the The Science of Knowing as the study's findings will assist StandBy - Support after Suicide and other suicide bereavement services to enhance their services as well as supporting the evidence base for suicide bereavement services. All survey participants can request a summary of the research findings upon completion.
09.01.2022 With International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day right around the corner, WINGS of Hope invites you to our Annual Gathering 2019, which will be held on Saturday 23rd November, commencing at 11am in Balmoral. The purpose of intimate, public event is to bring together the bereaved by suicide in our community, to remind those bereaved that they are not alone in their loss and to inspire hope. 06.01.2022 This year the 8th Winter Solstice event in Albury Wodonga is a virtual, live streamed Facebook event for all to join. This annual event brings the community together to share their evening and discuss mental health and the stigma of suicide. So save the date: Sunday, June 21 at 6pm There is no registration required for this event, just follow their facebook page.
