25.01.2022 For those of us who are hoping something good will happen out of this most difficult time:
25.01.2022 Three original Wingsong founding members, Hugh, Tracey and Jessie, joined Telly and Sandra last week to perform Old Flemish Folksong 'Schoon Lief' based on an arrangement by Blind Man's Holiday. To a socially distanced very supportive Wingsong audience! Video by Maureen thank you!
25.01.2022 Wingsong Choir is back! We are excited to be performing at the upcoming Seniors Festival at Taree Library (free but bookings essential) on Thursday 22 April at 6pm. We are also grateful for the freedom to be able to resume the wonderful uplifting activity of group singing with virtually no restrictions. Hooray! Please come and hear us! https://library.midcoast.nsw.gov.au//Seniors-Festival-Wing
24.01.2022 Returning to Wingham, the much-loved Miriam Lieberman will again share her unique skills in a fun vocal workshop, then her exquisite Trio will perform a concert, all in the lovely Wingham Presbyterian church premises. Look them up online if you haven't heard their divine harmonies and instrumentals before. Miriam's heartfelt beautiful songs will be a perfect Mother's Day treat, plus Wingsong will add a few choir songs too! Reply here or send text to book...
24.01.2022 Gentle Hum...a beautiful song by NZer Neil Finn as we celebrate Seniors Festival and the NZ travel bubble. Thank you MidCoast Libraries for having us!
21.01.2022 Whatever we think of Neil Diamond, his heart is in the right place:
21.01.2022 A beautiful bunch of happy singers revelling in the ability to gather and sing outdoors, albeit for the last time on these premises. It was a grand way to say goodbye to Queen St Hall. We have 3 more 2020 sings at lovely alternative venues, then hope to resume at Wingham Town Hall in 2021. Onwards and upwards!
20.01.2022 This sounds like it will be a brilliant night with Rose Wilson & Co., doing their bit to save our forests:
17.01.2022 Dear Wingsongers, Does this look familiar?
17.01.2022 Please watch this lovely performance by our members Jacqui, Robyn and Paul, at last week's 'mini soirée' socially distanced series!
16.01.2022 Our beloved Wingsong choiron our last night at the Queen Street Hall.
15.01.2022 Hundreds of people in various Italian areas who are stuck at home have begun to band together for singing and playing their instruments:
15.01.2022 A powerful message from Rev. Lynn Ungar: http://www.lynnungar.com/
13.01.2022 All we need is a melody...!
11.01.2022 How to stay close and maintain distance in Corona Time:
11.01.2022 Wingsong's mini-soirée series is turning out to be a big hit with the Wingsingers who have mostly been limited to being Winghummers under current restrictions. Here are this week's featured performers, Jane, Susan and Alan, delightful!
11.01.2022 In Acchord are six members of Wingsong Choir who sometimes used Queen St Hall for practices. We will go back to cosy rehearsals in each other's homes but will m...iss the luxury of spreading out all our gear in a big empty hall! Susan M. 08.01.2022 Don't listen this if you are afraid of ear worms. But do listen if you just need to add a happy note to your day:

07.01.2022 Wingman trio performance of Crossing the Bar, beautifully sung by Alan, Paul and Robert at our last mini soirée Wingsong rehearsal, thank you performers, and Maureen for the video.
07.01.2022 Hurray! We can perform in public again!

03.01.2022 Remembering the Christchurch mass shooting tragedy one year ago. Wingsong recorded this beautiful Maori song one week after it occurred, to honour the victims and a country in mourning.
02.01.2022 We will be singing songs with a water, river or environment theme to support this informative day about sustainable agriculture and business in a changing climate.
01.01.2022 One year ago, we helped kick off the Wingham Akoostik Festival for the 3rd year in a row. Today, the festival started as a 2-day live stream on PLUTO Entertainment. Great that the organisers found a way to proceed, and there's no ticket price to watch. What a tumultuous year it's been. Drought. Fires. Floods. Pandemic. Recession. And climate change continues. We have been quiet, with covid disruptions to choir rehearsals, but are now taking advantage of whatever the easing restrictions allow, and making a down-scaled return to live rehearsals. Live music is back at some venues too. Hallelujah! May it continue...
