20.01.2022 Who said excursions cant happen! One of our favourite excursions are to the fire station to visit fire fighter Heather. Today we made it happen via Zoom. At Winifred Nance Kindergarten community connections are an important part of our program. Working with services within our community to teach our children about the important roles they play in keeping our community safe. So grateful for the Colac fire brigade for making this happen for our children

At Winifred Nance Kindergarten we value the connections between educators, Children and families and in these challenging times the importance of keeping our children connected to kindergarten, each other and continue to build relationships that inspire, challenge and enhance their learning are important to us. Our Learning experiences this week have included cooking, rocket launching and colour mixing which is an extension of childrens interests in STEM from science week.

04.01.2022 FEELING THANKFUL Winifred Nance Kindergarten is the oldest kindergarten in the Colac community. So many families have touched and had connections to our little kindergarten over its 69 years! We are a small not for profit kindergarten. Our priorities are the children and families and creating a warm, friendly, engaging and inspiring environment for children to learn and grow. Over the past 12 months we have seen some challenges with our renovations but with that also it has ...brought some wonderful moments. We now have a amazing new kindergarten for children to learn in and one of the most important components to the success of our kindergarten is the parent committees. Our parents and families are special people and it is important to acknowledge the wonderful efforts of our past and present families and committees. All the sausage sizzles, chocolate drives, pie drives, childrens uniforms, raffles and so much more have given our small kindergarten the opportunity to contribute to the recent renovations and now purchase new furniture and equipment to fill our learning space for the children and families to use for futures to come. Here are just a few of the recent purchases from fundraising to create a wonderful kindergarten for the Colac community So THANK YOU. Families are the most important ingredient to making our kindergarten a special place for children to learn and your efforts do not go unnoticed
