24.01.2022 This is great news for Adelaide! A great success story from our Winnovation Awards Alumni

24.01.2022 What does becoming a Hi-Tech State mean? And how will we get there? That's the focus of the new South Australian Hi-Tech Sector Plan 2030, launched this week! The plan outlines the opportunities and challenges facing Hi-Tech, the importance of adopting new technologies, and how they can be applied in this dynamic and rapidly advancing sector. 14.01.2022 The annual Winnovation Awards wouldn't be possible without the support of our category and event sponsors who help celebrate and elevate South Australia's most innovative women. In 2020 we thank the following sponsors for their support and we look forward to celebrating the finalists and winners with our sponsors virtually in early December, and with an in-person celebration of some form in 2021 (we hope!). 14.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce that ABC Adelaide Presenter Ali Clarke will be emcee for the un-paused 2020 Winnovation Awards! The Board of Women in Innovation was unanimous in its decision to invite Ali to emcee this year. Born in Brisbane, Ali has called Adelaide home for nearly 20 years and joined ABC Adelaide in 2016. She has a strong community focus, is an ambassador for Minda and the Ovarian Cancer Challenge, is passionate about supporting people living with disabilities ...and is a volunteer for Nebtall SA - in amongst running around with her three children. We think she's the perfect person to officiate our 2020 Winnovation Awards in this most unique of years! The awards will be held 6-7pm next Thursday 3 December 2020, broadcast live from @Stone & Chalk. Registrations are still open, click here to watch as we announce our 2020 winners: https://fal.cn/3bNLy

11.01.2022 Well that was a week we won't forget for a while! The Board of Women in Innovation wishes to sincerely thank our finalists, sponsors and supporters of the 2020 Winnovation Awards for your patience and understanding when we were forced to reschedule the awards ceremony in the midst of a hard lockdown last week. We are thrilled, that an easing of restrictions may will allow us to move back to our Plan B 'hybrid' event model, enabling finalists and sponsors the opportunity to... join us in person at Stone & Chalk for a ceremony streamed live to supporters and the broader Women in Innovation community. The date for that ceremony will be as soon as possible - and we can assure you that securing the venue space for a new date is our first priority this week. Please keep your eyes on our social media channels and your emails as we announce the un-paused 2020 Winnovation Awards date! Until then, a shout out to the hard working Board of Women in Innovation (PICTURED) who have worked together tirelessly through a difficult period to bring the 2020 Winnovation Awards to South Australia and to celebrate our finalists in style.

11.01.2022 That I am here tonight is a testament to the dedication of generations before me. They organised, marched, and foughtnot just for their vote, but for a seat at the table.

08.01.2022 We couldn't have said it better The independent judges and Winnovation Awards Committee had a tough job assessing a record number of entries into the 2020 Winnovation Awards! But it's an incredible opportunity to discover the innovations being pioneered by women in South Australia. 07.01.2022 Congratulations to past Winnovation Awards winner Jiawen Li on being named in the InDaily Top 40 SA leaders under 40! An Engineer and National Heart Foundation Research Fellow, Jiawen has developed a 3D-printed tiny endoscope, which can be inserted into blood vessels to help identify and treat patients at high risk of heart attack. The innovation is already being used by companies in North America and Asia!

05.01.2022 How wonderful is this! 2020 Winnovation Awards winner Dr Manuela Klingler-Hoffmann has been featured in her home town newspaper in Germany! Saarland has one million inhabitants, which makes the newspaper readership comparable to The Advertiser here in Adelaide. Great stuff Manuela!

04.01.2022 The challenge has been thrown to members of the startup community, to pitch their innovative products or ideas in response to four new public service challenges. Startups can also approach the Go2Gov program manager with an 'unmatched' proposal at any time - an idea of how your innovative product or solution might improve public sector efficiency. 04.01.2022 We were thrilled to last night host a small gathering to celebrate our 2020 Winnovation Awards finalists and winners! It was a wonderful opportunity for finalists, sponsors and members of the Board to catch up in person, many for the first time. Thank you to everyone who joined us and we look forward to seeing more of our winnovation community before too long!

02.01.2022 "Grit is sticking with your future, day in, day out, not just for the week, not just for the month, but for years, and working really hard to make that future a reality. Grit is living life like it's a marathon, not a sprint." As we reflect on the outstanding finalists of the 2020 Winnovation Awards, we realise how true this comment from Angela Duckworth, Research Psychologist is. (You can see more about our 2020 finalists, here: https://fal.cn/3bQB8 )... Each of our Winnovation Awards finalists has worked hard over many years toward the point they're at today - and today isn't necessarily the finish line either, it's a drinks break, a refresher along that marathon journey to bring that innovation to its fullest realisation. To all our past and present Winnovation Awards finalists and winners - don't ever forget we're right here on the sidelines, cheering you on too! Register to watch the 2020 Awards next Thursday 3 December, here: https://fal.cn/3bQB7
