20.01.2022 Hi all hope you are well. I understand you haven't had a lot of information about Winton MX Club lately. Well where do I begin. We were hoping to be up and running by now however as you all know Covid isn't helping the situation. But that's not all. We have THREE people at the moment that are working behind the scenes and those THREE people can't do everything. For the Club to go forward we need help. What ever time you have would be appreciated. The sooner we have help the sooner we can operate. If someone would like to help or even get on the committee, please leave a message on this page. As most of you know I have been involved in the club for many years and I am passionate about it. I want it to go to the next step, there is so much potential all we need is YOU..... Regards Wazza....

19.01.2022 Thanks a lot Ben

18.01.2022 MA made an announcement this week, one which we have all been waiting for and feels like the next step towards getting you all back on yoour bikes. Here are th...e highlights from their Statement: "From June 15, 2020 License sales will be reactivated to renew or apply for your license" "....MA in consultation with the State Controlling Bodies (SCBs) is pleased to confirm an extension of active annual licenses for members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. All annual licenses purchased in the period between April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020 will automatically receive a 3 month extension." "Like all members, MA and the SCBs are keen for motorcycle riding to resume. As a community there will need to be an understanding that it will not be a return to sport as usual, prior to the pandemic. Certain State and Federal Government restrictions and measures will likely remain for some time. To ensure no further restrictions are imposed on our sport all members are encouraged to follow government guidelines and practice good personal hygiene." 13.01.2022 To all riders, parents/guardians and club representatives of the Northern Region Series we advise that the series has been cancelled for 2020 due to the current... situation being faced within Australia, none more so than our Victorian riders and fellow NSW riders affected by the cross border situation. The states are faced with a pandemic that if we all sit and think logically on the current factors being faced by all that we would be in agreeance of this. Whilst many may lament about there being no racing or cancelled, that is really only affecting you (the rider). There are many of our fellow friends that are being faced with no work and other major disruptions to their daily life affecting the children, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Some clubs had declined to run their rounds due to the restrictions placed but where possible they are focusing on activities within their club for your attendance. It has been a very trying time to date for all in 2020 due to COVID-19, we need to stay vigilant for the remainder of the year and focus coming back in 2021 healthy and safe.

03.01.2022 2 Day open at Broadford on the 5th and 6th of December We have been working tirelessly behind scenes trying to get our 2 dayer off the ground. The aim was to ...have this straight after Covid restrictions lifted due to the rise in temperature we have decided the GV track wouldn’t be the best place to hold this. So we have decided to have it at Broadford. A lot of planning in happening behind the scenes to get this up and running and we still are waiting on the green light from Vic sport. How you can help, by reaching out to the club or a committee member to assist on the day, by sharing this post and tagging friends. This is something that we would like to happen at the end of each year. Thanks GVJMCC COMMITTEE

03.01.2022 Good luck to our very own Dylan Long tonight in the last round of the sx series

02.01.2022 GVJMCC are pleased to announce that we are affiliated with Albury-Wodonga, Winton and Cobram for 2020. Members of the mentioned clubs will be treated as full members of the GVJMCC same applies to GVJMCC at the clubs mentioned.

01.01.2022 Hi All It is with regret that we postpone the upcoming round at Alpine on Sunday 22nd March. We have constantly monitored the health reports regarding to COVI...D-19 (commonly known as Coronavirus). The number of cases has risen overnight in both NSW and Victoria for the virus. People with symptoms are requested to stay away from venues and people but we are also reliant on people being honest and self-isolating on return from travel. Whilst I know, where I have been and whom I have been with, unfortunately we do not know where all others have been and who with, and who will they then be in further contact with. With this in mind, we do not have any option but to follow our duty of care as officials to all of you and postpone this event. No, we may not attract 500 people (ie riders, families or spectators) to the event in normal times, this is not normal times. I have been inundated with requests regarding the event due to NO other events running in the state. No, we do not want to run the gauntlet of will it or will not be over the government mass guidelines , as it can fall back onto the event co-ordinator if over and I do not want that to be I. We do also not need to be feeling that we are being monitored for running the event or breaching guidelines, and then the blame game of you shouldn’t have ran the event. Whilst it may be rumoured it was because we were told that we could not run due to a post about bringing your own toilet paper and advised it was our responsibility to ensure that this was provided, it is not the reason. We had the toilet paper issue covered. The post was a precautionary measure ensuring more than less given the current shortage within Australia. Given this information it is something that all other clubs should consider at any event they host, as most times you visit the toilets mid-way thru the day to find no toilet paper during the days, this must surely also place your events under a cloud at times regarding hygiene. With the postponement of the event this will also allow clubs to be able to host practice/ride days for their own members effectively during the next couple weeks. Current entries for Alpine round will be refunded back via PayPal, and the series will continue to be monitored weekly based on the advice by medical professionals. If you are a club and hosting a club practice/ride day please post your details on this page for all interested riders who may wish to attend. Remember riders SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CLUBS. Again we are sorry for the postponement but it is our duty of care as the officials for the series to ensure the safety and health of you and your family, unfortunately the adage it is never going to happen to me is not true, there is the possibility, and we care.

01.01.2022 Attention all riders - please see updated schedule for Saturday 3 July. Any questions, please email [email protected] #Hattah21
