What sits underneath all that is fear; fear that they are not good enough, and fear that others will find out they are not good enough. From a managers perspe...ctive, the employee is spending too much time on low-value tasks, while the high-value priorities are often overlooked. Protecting our own self-interested is priority one for the perfectionist, the organisation's needs come a poor second. If your perfectionist, behind all those excuses, you know what it's costing you.
