25.01.2022 We love marine audio and have tested quite a few setups of the past few years While the Navico Sonic Hub rocking a set of Fusion 7" speakers was a fantastic setup in 2010, times are changing and it's nothing in comparion to the gear JL Audio are throwing down. And why not go all out with a Media Master MM50, MX500/4 Amplifier and a pair of M6-880X-C's... So, let's get technical!!! While the MX500 can supply 70 WRMS x4 at 4 ohms, 125 WRMS at 2 ohms and 250 WRMS at 4 ohms bridged! The M6-880X can handle 250 WRMS at 4 ohms and they sound absolutely fantastic. Amazing chrisp audio across the spectrum with fantastic bass, mid-range and treble. To top it all off we integrated the MM50 into the vessel's NMEA2000 network for control from the Simrad NSS Evo2 MFD Enjoy the new audio setup and we will make sure we keep an ear out for you on the water. Tight lines and sweet beats

19.01.2022 We got a call from Martin this week as he was having issues with his Humminbird G2 Solix holding the bottom at speed and had been told elsewhere that it just wasn't achiveable. Challenge accepted!! We always get excited when this sonar issue is presented to us as every hull is different and every hull has its "sweet spot". So we updated the Solix to the latest firmware version, moved and re-angled the transducer and headed off for a water test. The sonar had previously been... dropping out at 55kph, regardless of conditions, however after putting some of our magical wizard skills to work it holds fine at max speed of 78.3kph and 71kph in the harbour chop. Martin was also having issues with his DC-DC charger, so we removed the faulted Gen1 Procharge B and replaced it with the Gen2 Procharge B. This is something to be mindful of when purchasing these DC-DC chargers as there are a lot of Gen1 Procharge B units still in circulation. It's always a good feeling when your marine electronics are on point and functioning as intended. Tight lines mate!

16.01.2022 When Luke contacted us about his Raymarine Axiom not holding the bottom above 5km, we were more then happy to assist. The aluminium bracket was installed just behind the forward chine and close to an old through hull transducer mount. With limited clean water available we relocated the transducer and headed to the boat ramp to dial it in. Holding the bottom up to 63kph it was grins all round, we also went over some advanced sonar and charting features on the water and manual...ly tuning side and down imaging to improve image clarity. Enjoy your next trip on the water with the family mate! Tight lines!

15.01.2022 The park reset procedure, a must know for all Ulterra owners.

12.01.2022 Its been a long time since we started the Relaxn F170 vs Shockwave S5 review, but finally that time has arrived.

11.01.2022 The argument of today, Lithium vs AGM Just because you can and it works does not always mean that you should Hopefully we see a change over the next 2-3 years and a move into brushless motors.... We hope the information in this video helps in making that choice of battery type a little easier. Tight lines

07.01.2022 Exciting news for all the Humminbird fans! Looks like they have fixed a few issues that plagued the Solix G2 series and added more Memory and CPU power. No real information on GUI changes but a slight mention of more customisation for views and of course imaging enhancements. I wonder if you can run 360 Mega without having to remove transducer plugs or buying a dedicated screen.. ... The information provided leaves more questions then answers, it will be interesting to see what Navico, Garmin and Raymarine do next..

04.01.2022 Very interesting to see the next generation Apex units from Johnson Outdoor World. Especially when it comes in 13", 16" and 19" goodness . Rocking up to 2kw accessory transducers is going to be quite interesting but the best part is finally Duel ethernet ports!!!... We just hope the GUI experience has improved in regards to charting and waypoint management.
