23.01.2022 Hello! Yes, we are still here! Though we haven't been able to visit any schools or facilitate any Mental Health First Aid Training due to Covid restrictions, we are still working away in the background, on what will hopefully be an awesome 2021 for Wiribunda Wellness. Whilst we did not anticipate a pandemic in our first year of business, we are remaining optimistic about the future. We hope you are all staying well and safe, and please be kind to your mind. 22.01.2022 Hello! Thought it was about time I popped up in your newsfeed to introduce myself. My name is Jen Rowan and I am the founder of Wiribunda Wellness. This passion project of mine began about 12 months ago when I became an accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Having grown up in South West Victoria, it is my goal to bring this course to the rural communities, in an effort to raise mental health literacy, reduce the stigma, and raise awareness around the prevalence of... mental illness. My mission is to see this life saving course as widely accepted as the physical first aid course. I have seen the strength of small communities when they rally together for great cause. With this in mind, I am excited about deep diving into the new year, which is already looking brilliant for Wiribunda Wellness. If you are interested in booking in a Mental Health First Aid course in 2021, please reach out! I'm always up for a chat. -Jen Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System

07.01.2022 Today, I was so pleased to have a seat at the first #RecoveryandBeyond roundtable with Minister for Youth Ros Spence MP, young Victorians, mental health experts and community sector leaders to discuss the significant challenges young people are facing during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It was great to see the shared commitment to supporting young people and working together to improve youth mental health outcomes for all Victorians in action. Coronavirus (COVID-19) ...has changed the world and for young people almost every facet of their lives has been impacted. I look forward to working closely with the Victorian Government, young people and other organisations as we move beyond the pandemic and find positive solutions. Youth Affairs Council Victoria

06.01.2022 Hopefully those of you who are enrolled to complete the Standard Mental Health First Aid course with us have already been notified, that it is with deep regret that we have to postpone all upcoming SMHFA courses. Unfortunately this is completely out of our hands. As soon as the current Covid-19 situation settles, we will be in touch to have participants complete the course ASAP. Postponing courses certainly isnt something we wanted to be doing in just the first few months of Wiribunda Wellness, but I cant thank you enough for your understanding during these testing times. Thank you, and I hope you are all keeping well.
