This is where we are at: Australia is a country governed by a federal government that essentially directs funding to state governments and manages international relations on behalf of state governments. It’s bound to act within this thing called a CONSTITUTION. What’s a constitution I hear the morons wonder? It’s a big book of rules; that basically says the federal government has more or less no say over the way a state governs itself, and can really only make suggestions. Some see this as a limitation; but it’s there for your protection, it stops government over reach; but I digress, you’re probs too stupid to know what that is anyway. With the exception of the ACT, the NT, and a handful of islands, STATE GOVERNMENTS are responsible for their own affairs. That’s everything from Ambulances to Zoo’s. STATE GOVERNMENTS ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES! STATE GOVERNMENTS ALSO MAKE ALL THE RULES AROUND LAND CLEARING. STATE GOVERNMENTS THROUGH LOCAL COUNCILS ALSO ENFORCE THESE RULES. Do you know how much the federal government can influence these things? Somewhere between fuck all and zilch. If a federal government compels a state to act on a matter (some of you charlies think the federal government can see the future, and should have violated the constitution six months ago) the federal government puts itself in danger of violating the constitution. If a government violates the constitution, the Governor General can and will dissolve parliament. So let’s recap for all you simpletons out there: Scott Morrison has already done everything he physically can. He’s even praying; because he cannot do any more. The people who’s blood you should be baying for are your local councils, state governments, and the green protestors. If you are really so god awful fucking stupid that you need this explained to you, or have ridden the bandwagon like a three toothed red neck because you couldn’t be bothered thinking about this for more than 8 seconds, I suggest you exclude yourself from the human gene pool in a manner that doesn’t impact the rest of us.
