24.01.2022 Psst want to buy your own resort? This is great news. With strong confirmed forward bookings across conventions, functions and tourism as we enter the warm months, combined with the announcement of the SA Govnt to invest in KI becoming an national tourism Icon (like Ayres Rock) the timing is perfect to explore the market for an International / National brand to take over the reins. The sale is just for the resort, convention centre and golf course. The residential estates will continue to be developed and made available. Great time to negotiate a deal for the allotment you may have had your eye on

23.01.2022 Other than the kanagroos, echindnas, wedgetail eagles and a host of other land based native fauna - you would be suprised what can be found under the water. Other the renown leafy sea dragon, here's another local - a southern blue devil fish. The best example of one I've seen was on a scuba dive on the ex-HMAS Hobart several weeks ago.

21.01.2022 Designing the immediate surrounds around our homes is a very personal approach. Some prefer to have minimal focus, by letting nature grow and reseed at random. Whilst some enjoy natives with some degree of order. Here are some examples of natives currently in bloom down around the entrance to Fire Rock Bay adjacent to the Esplanade. If looking at what other plants grown well here - you'll find a good variety planted in and around the resort / roundabouts and traffic islands.

17.01.2022 Living the lifestyle. Arguably the best value oceanfront land in SA. No time limit to build. Buy and build or hold for the future. All services in place and underground (power/water/sewerage) The asking price for a number of the lots has been massively reduced (Lots 1 thru' 16). You'll be pleasantly suprised at the value. 17.01.2022 Fire Rock Bay is one of the magnificent bays and coves along the coastline of Wirrina Cove. Easily accessible by walking along the Tjilbruke Trail - it's the 2nd small bay north of the Marina St Vincent. Pack a picnic lunch and take the time to explore Fire Rock Bay and the other beautiful bays and coves along the coast. You'll find wedge tail eagles, kites and hawks and on a warm day basking themselves on the warm rocks you'll find coastal painted sea dragons. You'll need to sit still for several minutes with the camera ready.

15.01.2022 If boating, sailing or fishing is your thing, call into the Marina office and meet Doug & Kael (not to be confused with B1 & B2 of Bananas in Pyjamas). The marina office is open every day and has a range of boating spare parts, fishing gear and baits. On the odd occasion the guys have been know to provide pearls of wisdom of where the fish are biting. Just remember though - they both fish and we all know how much faith we can have in what a fisherman tells us about fishing. When it comes to marinas though - they're the best there is.

15.01.2022 Wirrina Cove Marina seems to have a new member to the family, with a dolphin making regular visits. Named 'Bob the Dolphin' by the marina team, the dolphin can be frequnetly seen cruising through the basin, in and around the boat ramps. With his regular visits, this would suggest the marina basin is in a healthy condition with schools of fish for Bob to dine on.

13.01.2022 Meet the neighbours. Wirrina Cove is renown for its Kangaroos. You'll find loads of them including joeys from autumn thru spring. Some of them have been around for years and are quite well known to the locals; who tell me its not unsual to find one every now and again laying asleep under a tree in the backyard

12.01.2022 Whimsical to the Wonderful The leafy sea dragon festival brings to life all the towns and communities in and around Wirrina Cove. Over 250 people attended the launch of the Festival @ Wirrina Cove last night. Come for a drive and wander through cafes, restaurants and art galleries all celebrating the Festival. Here @ Wirrina we have a whimsical 7 metre ‘Leafy Sea Dragon’ the kids will love wonderful wearable art from Evelyn Roth whose works have been displayed at the ‘New York museum of contemporary art’ along with a display of fabulous handmade jewellery by Chris Ninnis.

09.01.2022 Other than a number of new houses property owners have in the pipeline to be built and the renovation of several of the older houses - we're seeing other home owners extending, including a new top storey. If you're ever thought Wirrina Cove would be a nice location to have a place - don't leave it too long, or ..... well you know the rest.

05.01.2022 Jane & George (Wirrina Cove's own Valerie Taylor & Ben Cropp) have started the exciting process of building their new home. A terrric couple, they love this area and have some fantastic photos & video of the coast line. If you want to get a good handle on Wirrina Cove as a great coastal place to live - have a chat with them. George has a building background and you'll find them most weekends working on their new home.
