06.01.2022 The effects of abdominal breathing Doing 10 abdominal breaths 3 times a day enhances the removal of toxins through the lymphatics by moving the diaphragm and pumping the lymph to move faster and more efficiently. 1. Think of your favourite colour... 2. Take a slow deep breath and fill up a balloon in your abdomen and watch your belly rise. 3. Think of your 2nd favourite colour 4. Continue filling the second balloon (in your second favourite colour) and watch your belly rise even further 5.Slowly, slowly exhale and release both balloons one at a time 6. Repeat With abdominal breathing the rib cage should not move...gets more oxygen to the base of your lungs....it slows down your thoughts and acts as a method of meditation.
