14.01.2022 8 PANTRY HACKS FOR KITCHEN ORGANISATION An organised pantry will not only make cooking easier, it will also save you from buying groceries that you already have hidden amongst the mess! 1. Check use by dates It’s perfectly normal to have items in your pantry that have gone over the use by date. Do yourself a favour, go through your pantry and dispose of them straight away.... 2. Sort into categories Take your time to sort through all items and put similar or the same ones together. For example, pasta with pasta, tinned food together, and so on. 3. Containerise food or use tubs Containerise packet and unopened foods into baskets, tubs or containers according to the dimensions of your pantry. 4. Use stackable airtight containers These help keep produce fresher for longer and make better use of space. They also keep pantry moths at bay. 5. Place canned items on a shelf riser This will help you find things easier and at a glance. 6. Appoint an Electrician Early On You'll need to find an electrician for any rewiring, lighting changes and the addition of an electric shower or shower pump. Chat to one before any building or plumbing work starts so they can plan their jobs into your bathroom refurbishment schedule. Make sure you choose a registered electrician as you will get additional protection should something go wrong. 3.
