06.01.2022 There is plenty of video conferencing software for you to choose from - and there are better options than Zoom, Facebook Messenger, or Whatsapp (owned by Facebook). This handy and up-to-date list shows the features of each software app. Which is better? Personally, I like the extensive features of 8x8 (though I haven't tested it in a real-world setting with a meeting yet), and I like the convenience and ease-of-use with Google Hangouts (or there is another version called Goo...gle Meet if you have a G Suite account). Google has decided to add to the confusion in the midst of a spike in use of video conferencing apps by announcing that Hangouts will be renamed Google Meet, but the free version, formally Hangouts, is not the same as the paid version, which is called Google Meet. Logo choosers should also keep in mind RATIOS. Landscape and portrait aspects will be reduced in size when you want to use your logo in social media profiles. Always try to make the logo, optionally the company name, its tagline fit within a square, if possible. 01.01.2022 Some new changes coming, starting from the 27th May for G Suite users: Hangouts is gone. Google Meet is the new Hangouts. Google Chat changed to be more like Facebook Messenger, and with integration to Google Meet, and Chat will be integrated into the Gmail browser window. Changes are happening faster than Windows 10 updates.
