24.01.2022 Women attending this session will be in a ceremonial sacred space in which they will have the opportunity to name and share about their loss and how it impacted them. They will be heard with compassionate and received and held by empathic witnesses. My hope is that they will feel lighter after this experience, more connected to themselves and what matters to them. If you choose to share your loss, there will be a little preparation to do before the circle and I will email tha...t to you. Please message me directly to let me know if you would be willing to share. To bring a sense of reverence to this space I will open the Zoom Room at 7.15pm and play beautiful music. I ask that you arrive by 7.25pm (at latest) as the room will be closed at 7.30pm for the start of the ritual. Attendees arriving after the agreed time may not be admitted to preserve the sacred space that is being created. Register: www.wisewomenrising.com.au/retreat-program

23.01.2022 n this session, women attending will be able to identify/review their various "business success hats" and learn how to give them the energy and focus needed, so "no hats fall off"...resulting in sustainable business flow. Register: www.wisewomenrising.com.au

23.01.2022 Why do we baulk at giving honest feedback or making requests? Why is it so hard to hear blame, or a difference of opinion, or No!. Exactly what IS empathy and how do we DO it? How can we make difficult conversations work better for everyone? In this session we will uncover some of the subtle and surprising language habits of our culture that block connection and stimulate resistance. And we will practice a simple yet profound process that builds trust, openness and willi...ngness instead. Women attending will be gently introduced to the deep wisdom of Marshall B. Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a helpful and relevant approach for all of us in our families, our work connections, our communities. The session will be interactive, with break-out activities and some resources to take away. Register: www.wisewomenrising.com.au/retreat-program

23.01.2022 In this session, the women attending will create a mindful Soul Story Mandala. Explore your personal symbols as soul stories through this heart-connected intuitive process as we gather, layer and create. Discover the space within the sacred circle of the mandala and the connections to our wider world. Be open to play and explore in this supportive gathering space through this guided art adventure. This joyful, layered mixed media process is a beautiful way to connect us to ou...r inner wisdom and is a way to receive intuitive guidance and deeper understanding. Step into your personal soul stories through this non-traditional healing mandala process of trusting your intuition and following the guidance of your inner wisdom. No experience required. 23.01.2022 Through vocal and movement explorations, we will discover what it means to make and to allow the ripples of change into our lives and the world. We will be acknowledging what behaviours we allow to deny us access to our joy and pain - to our very aliveness. Through moving with our own sensations and witnessing others, we will come together in connection and support to allow for creative change. Register: www.wisewomenrising.com.au

22.01.2022 In this session women attending will deepen their connection to themselves and to their creativity through nature. Connecting to the original self, using the subtle art of qi gong, we will deepen our subtle energy awareness of the earth, mountain, river and sky. Bring paint and paper, ink and brush and journal and pencil to dialogue with these aspects of nature. Mostly meditative and contemplative these practices have emerged from the time of the ancient Chinese bone oracles. The outcome will be a creative talisman to your personal creative intention. 19.01.2022 One of the most beautiful gifts in the world is the gift of encouragement. When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwi...se never have crossed on your own. There are times of great uncertainty in every life. Left alone at such a time, you feel dishevelment and confusion like gravity. When a friend comes with words of encouragement, a light and lightness visit you and you begin to find the stairs and the door out of the dark. The sense of encouragement you feel from the friend is not simply her words or gestures; it is rather her whole presence enfolding you and helping you find the concealed door. The encouraging presence manages to understand you and put herself in your shoes. There is no judgment but words of relief and release. 18.01.2022 In this session the women attending will receive a playful introduction to the project of writing/crafting their will in a creative way. "I have this dream to help women to be prepared and create a special bundle or treasure chest for when they die so they have something to share and leave to their beloved. Something very practical, something magic, something beautiful, something sacred .... I'm wanting to start by guiding women to find their joy of life through making a coll...age to express what they appreciate about life in a playful way...a first step in a journey to making of their creative will". To prepare for this workshop: Bring magazines, good ones that you enjoy flipping through, its good to collect a broad range... travel, fashion, gardening, wellbeing... we want pictures and good words.... op shops / charity shops often have a good choice or print from the internet...pictures that spark your joy is what you're looking for. You'll also need a large A1 piece of paper or cardboard Some scissors and a tube of glue. This collage is a thread toward creating a bundle/treasure chest for end of life, that sits in a larger project to more consciously welcome and "get practical about" our own dying, with love. 17.01.2022 In this session you will have an opportunity to experience a process of self inquiry developed by Byron Katie, called The Work. This is a powerful, practical and simple process, that enables us to examine and question the beliefs we hold that cause us stress. It gives us ways of seeing a situation from a range of other perspectives that can help shift our thinking. Through the process we identify and write down the thougts that cause us anger, sadness, and frustration then ...we question each thought with four questions, and look for other possible truths. Participants will learn about and experience this profound process, to shine a light on our stressful beliefs so they begin to loosen their grip on us and the suffering they cause. The process can best be understood by experience and so participants will be invited to fill out a Judge Your Neighbour worksheet on a stressful situation in their life, and do The Work. There will be a chance to do The Work on your own, in pairs, and to witness one or two volunteers as they do the work in front of the group. It is a meditative and personal reflection process, where we are invited to get still and listen for the answers. Great spiritual texts describe the why and the what of what it means to be free. The Work is the how. It shows you exactly how to identify and question any thought that would keep us from that freedom. Register: www.wisewomenrising.com.au/retreat-program

16.01.2022 Quite a few IMPORTANT NOTES FOR FACILITATORS in here - please create a space to watch this if you weren't able to be with us in person at tonight's WWR Community Call... with thanks for all your support this week as we prepare to sink into online retreat space on Friday (2 sleeps to go!)

15.01.2022 Death Cafe is a space devoted to talking about death & dying. Created by John Underwood, it is a gently facilitated conversation that also includes the enjoyment of coffee, tea & cake. So I invite you to bring something very yummy to the session (that you've baked or bought). In this space you will experience the freedom to talk about any aspect of death or dying. You'll have the opportunity to share your own experience, hear from others and ask questions,. You may learn something new or be reminded of what you already know. My hope is that you will leave the session with more understanding of yourself, a sense that you are not alone and a lightness of being that comes from truth telling and exploring a topic that has been taboo and can be challenging to talk about. 12.01.2022 SOME INSPIRATION :-) "The New Local - Building Resilient and Regenerative Places" This clip is a replay of a webinar I attended late last week It's "just a section" of the whole presentation. The full webinar replay is at this link if you are interested... https://us02web.zoom.us//5JNSMI2h9V9OTqPf5FP_S6IwJ53Caaa81... A presentation from Gilbert Rochecouste & Michael Shuman And additional resources here. http://www.villagewell.org//2/07/The-new-Local-Program.pdf https://spaces.hightail.com/space/Gan2LQDWOD From their brochure: "We need a fundamentally new economic story to reclaim our future. And that story is the imperative of the New Local. We need to achieve not greater economic growth, but greater planetary resilience and reconstruction. Resilience means reorganizing our local economic activities around diversity and self-reliance, rooted in the capacities of our local ecosystems. And reconstruction means cleaning up all the messes political, social, and environmental that we’ve left behind in the name of progress. Here’s our vision for a future worth fighting for: every community should be able to meet its basic needs food, water, housing, education, and health care within its own natural resource capacity. And the duty of every community is to help other communities achieve this goal by sharing ideas, technology, and solutions. A world of relatively self-reliant communities, committed to resilience and renewal, is a world that will see less war, less poverty, less injustice, and less ecocide. We now see our mission as moving cities, north and south, big and small, in this new direction. Would you and your community like to join us?"

11.01.2022 Women often have an uncomfortable relationship with power- both their own power and working with others who have power. It can be hard to ask questions to power, such as negotiating over wages/ task/ projects and it can be hard to use your own power in the workplace. Owning one’s power is a foundation for taking up personal and professional roles, and understanding how much power is available to us. In this workshop you will explore the difference between power and authority, understand the four different types of power and identify the power you have available to you in your various roles. 10.01.2022 Songs of reverence - there'e something simple and powerful about women singing together. I'll be taking us through some simple accapella ( without music / accompaniment) songs about the elements, ancestors, and welcoming all the parts of ourselves. For those of us who campaign or support 'distant environmental / social issues', this can be a beautiful practise to bring into your day, as it brings what we cherish - clean water, for example - into our hearts, moving us out of... the intellectual/logistical, and into prayer and reverence. - Lisa Watch Lisa's welcome video here: https://static.sched.com//Earth%20Reverence%20Video%202.mov Register for her event: www.wisewomenrising.com.au/retreat-program

05.01.2022 Starting with the woman in the mirror... an exploration of the Activate Wellbeing model applied personally and in community to evolve our social change making. This session will offer women attending an opportunity to apply the Activate Wellbeing model to your own world in small group circle/s and then consider the applications to our social organising and business contexts. This lens of perception is a transformative process for personal quarterly or yearly empathic review of your being a well being (not the opposite of sick) rather a "being of the well of life".
