22.01.2022 So very true!

19.01.2022 Good morning everyone, I hope you are well. With regards to our grading this weekend at Withcott, could BJC Muay Thai members please wear their normal bow in ...attire as per previous gradings and could Zen Do Kai members please wear their title uniform, hakama's will not be required unless it is necessary for your grading. There will be water for sale on the day, but the canteen will not be operating. There are no places within walking distance for food, however there are a few options within a short drive. We are hoping for Clubshop to be operating. Please ensure all black belts/singlets are there by no later than 9:00 am for bow in to commence at 10:00 am.

18.01.2022 Allow yourself to be a bit weird. Join us each week Monday to Saturday from any where in the world for some breathing. 8am Melbourne Australia time. Monday to T...hursday is 11 minutes Friday and Saturday are 25 minutes. It is so simple, login between 7.55 and 7.59am say hi, then we listen to Wim Hoff guide us on a breath cycle and breath hold. Yes it is weird as shit. People sitting in office chairs, lying in lounge rooms, sitting in the park. Hey we have even had a guy log in from his fishing boat. Men and women from everywhere deep breathing together hahahha. So weird. But. Dont worry we mute the mikes, so its a little less weird and you can even leave your camera off. It doesn't matter if you have never done this before it is easy and we will give you some guidance. There is no cost, we use a free youtube recording.. Hahahha I know wierdo's.. Lol Do it once, do it once a week or join us each day, its weird but its bloody awesome. Zoom room https://us02web.zoom.us/j/213848924 Meeting ID: 213 848 924 Passcode: SMAC

18.01.2022 Save this one!! If you can get a quick 5 minute stretch in each day your body will love you for it! Check it out...... Nothing complicated. It's not on the floor. The video is about 6 minutes and Tom is always entertaining as he talks through the sequence in a easy to understand way. PS this is great for EVERYBODY but especially anyone who spends a big chunk of the day seated. Enjoy!

14.01.2022 Some food for thought. We're always looking at ways to protect our loved ones. Key Point: "I didn't even think like that. No you don't but criminals do."

14.01.2022 Martial Arts and Fun What? Isn't fun the first word you think of when someone says Martial Arts? Probably not. ... Maybe your first thought is one of these words? Awareness. Discipline. Respect. Strength. Resilience. Focus. Courage. Confidence. Self-Respect. Knowledge. Skill. Absolutely! All of them are important. BUT so is fun. Why? Because it's the secret (maybe not-so-secret ) ingredient to learning anything, and martial arts is no exception. If you're not enjoying it, you're not learning. If you (or a little human you care for) has been wanting to come along (even if it's just to have a look) then be sure to drop in and say hello. Our next class is Friday at 6pm. We train until 730pm but students are more than welcome to finish earlier if they need. Especially little ones. #withcottmartialsartsinc #withcott #everyonewelcome #allabilities #zendokai #selfdefence #karate #bjma #muaythai #fun #notsosecret #friday #sayhello

12.01.2022 If you don’t have a plan, you can use this one until you do.

11.01.2022 Wow - what a pocket rocket!

08.01.2022 Here are some form corrections for some of the common mistakes I see. These are great exercises that you can do at home! Mountain Climber Keep your shoulder...s stacked over wrists Maintain a neutral head position (aligned with torso) Keep hips level and stable Plank Keep your shoulders stacked over elbows Straight body line from head to heels Maintain tension by engaging your glutes and pulling your elbows towards your feet Glute Bridge Drive through your heels and maintain contact with the ground Extend through your hips, and not your lower back Push-Up Keep your shoulders stacked over wrists Straight body line from head to heels Ensure elbows bend towards your feet (backwards) and not out to the sides kaylaitsines.com/BBGatHome #BBGathome #SWEATathome #BBG #BBGStronger #BBGBeginner #BBG2020 #BBGcommunity #workoutvideo #exercisetechnique

04.01.2022 Real Men Wear Pink There's been some great feedback and questions about our "Train In Pink " Community Event next Friday... one of the questions: Is i...t just for females or can blokes join in too? YES!! It's definitely for guys too and whether you're already training in martial arts (or looking to start), wanting to sharpen up your own personal safety and self-defence skills or just curious to see what all the talk is about with our Martial Arts club, you're more than welcome to come along. The information on the evening is relevant to EVERYBODY! Males. Females. Kids. Teenagers. Adults. Our Head Instructor at Withcott Martial Arts Inc. and Head of BJMA Queensland, 9th Degree Black Belt Soke Jim Friis, will be there on the evening as will a number of highly experienced black belt instructors from our region. Each of them is passionate to help others strengthen their knowledge and skills with personal safety and self-defence. If you have questions we're here to help, so feel free to send us through a message. Special thanks to Dai Sensei Grant McDonald of Pegasus Martial Arts for your kind and generous permission for photos! 04.01.2022 Everyone gets frustrated, especially when they first start training. What matters is what you do next.

03.01.2022 It is always good to be reminded of the layout for our belts. Normally at this time of year we would be handing this information out to our members in the final... stages of preparation for grading. So for those members in states or regions are able to grade - know that you are being cheered on by your brothers and sisters from around the world. See more

01.01.2022 So many great tips here for kids BUT also for adults too! Our classes are about so much more than just punching and kicking so if you or one of your loved ones is interested in joining in on some classes or even just putting your head in to have a look, please feel free to come along. Classes are open to all ages, genders and abilities. ... No previous experience necessary. Male and Female instructors. COVIDsafe practices in place. Classes are held each Tuesday and Friday from 6pm until 730pm. For little ones they don't have to attend the full hour and a half, they can "bow out" sooner. Have fun and stay safe!
