24.01.2022 A little bit to get to know me.... I entered the fitness industry back in 2011, where I completed my ISSA Course at Gold’s Gym, Cairo. During my time in Cairo, I had the pleasure of working in Body by Design, with one on one personal training. Then I had a little break from the fitness industry, but I felt the desire to come back and share my joy with others and I completed my Australian Cert 3 and 4 in Personal Training. It is very important to me that the client feels comf...ortable in the surroundings he or she is working out in, but also that the client is fully comfortable with the exercises prescribed. What makes Within Reach Fitness different is first of all the size being Danish the concept of hygge (the feeling of being cozy) is very central to me, and why not implement it in the gym? The studio we will be working out in is modest in size, yet perfect for what we want, whether you come on your own or you bring your besties or your baby. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end. We will go through the technique and form of each exercise as the first thing. I am sure we have all be set up in a program, where we desperately tried to figure out what to do by looking at the person in front of us still feeling that something isn’t right?! As the name Within Reach suggests, the whole idea of making movement within reach is central to me. Moving with purpose does not necessarily mean that you are working to exhaustion all the time, it can mean many things for the individual and finding exactly what you need or like is a goal I will be working for. Having been interested in the fitness industry for a good 10 years now, I have found many of the things that I really value. I am currently studying a certificate in Pre- and postnatal coaching, which has become a central area of interest to me and I will continue to expand my knowledge in that area. See more

23.01.2022 I am excited!!! Gyms are open from tomorrow, so now is the time to book your spot at the weekly sessions or book that PT session you have been wanting to take for so long! Also, my course book arrived today! I already started doing some of the online stuff, but getting the book makes me so excited. I have already gone through Girls Gone Strong’s Pre- and postnatal coaching course, which made me want more. I wanted to dive deeper into why kegels are not enough and why we need to take a full body approach to pelvic health. #PCES2.0 #GGS #CPPC #smallgym #Doreen #learnmore #withinreach_fitness #gymsopen #booknow

Remember PT sessions are also available all days - Mondays booked out. See you as soon as we are allowed! #gym #letsgo #sessions #withinreach_fitness #bringyourkids #CPPC #GGS #Doreen #Mernda

14.01.2022 A few thoughts on movement and bodies I believe we should work out the way we LIKE to work out - life is too short to do things that you hate. I don’t believe in a one size fits all. I think that is the main advantage of small group sessions, because the trainer really has time to pay attention to each member of the group, their injuries and the best ways to optimise the exercise with technique cues. I think we should cut ourself some slack. What is the benefit for anybo...dy to be faced with fitness models that the industry (and some of society) have decided should be the ideal?! None! Most of us are not going to ever look like that, so should we be bound by a lifetime of regret?! Besides these bodies are not necessarily healthy bodies (that’s for another post) I think we should train and keep fit for the personal benefit and motivation; how do we feel in our body when we work out -and after? Does it feel great to have a strong(er) body? Can we move without pain? #gym #letsgo #feelgood #withinreach_fitness #bringyourkids #CPPC #GGS #Doreen #Mernda See more
