17.01.2022 Friendly reminder

17.01.2022 Give yourself permission This was a good reminder that came at the right time end of last week. I had a few days where I found it really hard to concentrate. As much as I wanted to keep busy and be productive, I couldnt focus, the only thing my mind wanted was to be distracted. ... It was frustrating and annoying but the harder I pushed to focus and do things the more I would be looking for distractions. After a couple of days, I realised that I was actually feeling overwhelmed. I had been trying to keep busy and productive but did not really give space to my feelings and did not allow myself to process all the changes. I realised I needed some time and space to contemplate this new situation, adjust to this new reality and acknowledge what I was feeling without judgment and/or avoidance. This situation is not a sprint but a marathon, so we need to look after ourselves to cross the finale line in the best possible shape. So, dont forget to slow down and contemplate. It often comes with nice and useful realisations. Have a nice Easter weekend everyone and enjoy this beautiful weather. Definitely something we can be grateful for.

14.01.2022 When going through a challenging time I have observed that sitting with my emotions, acknowledging what I feel, not judging what is is the best way to release tensions and go back to a state of balance. It requires practice and self compassion but little by little it strengthens our ability to be more emotional intelligent.

In order to process our emotional distress and move it though and out of our body so it doesnt get stuck there, we need to learn to express our emotions in a healthy way, in the body and mind. But first, we need to learn to recognize and accept our feelings as they come and go."
