13.01.2022 With all the constant worry and insecurity that many of my clients feel about their life and direction, the main theme is that somehow they got something 'wrong'. This past reflection of their choices tends to get 'stuck' in regret and addiction to their 'mistakes'. And we also have a culture of circling these thoughts regularly through our mind, which magnifies our distress. It wont matter how you cut it, addiction to our past situations can hold us trapped, however big the ...smile may be. But what if our errors of judgment are just simply an error? Would you criticise and mock a baby as it tries to stand and fall one hundred times? No, never! Because you understand that however long that baby needs to repeat that desire to progress as nature intends, you will encourage, support and praise the smallest achievement! What if you allowed the same kindness to yourself? To see your past actions not from a lens of failure or shame, but from softness of the person you once were. Your decisions were based on the best available information, and life experience you had at the time. This process also removes blame and finger pointing to events and persons in our external world, and allows us to see inwards with absolution and love. Be gentle, embrace all of you and recall that you are doing the best you can, every single day.
