25.01.2022 Gracie shares: Despite my skepticism, the hypnosis workedand it worked fast. I became a nonsmoker during my first hypnosis session! My initial reaction was not actually one of happiness, relief, or even simple satisfaction that my investment had been worthwhile...I was angry. What was this? Why hadn't I thought it would work when, out of everything that I tried, it was the only thing that did? Why did I believe for all of those years that hypnosis was a joke when it was actually such a calming, natural experience?

15.01.2022 Smokers are twice as likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and friends and family who breathe second-hand smoke are also at higher risk. A 2010 study suggests that smoking more than two packs of cigarettes a day between the ages of 50 and 60 had an elevated risk of developing Alzheimers and vascular dementia.

You may consciously want to change a longstanding habit such as smoking but feel stuck in a pattern of behaviour unable to make the changes you want. You may even feel that you have no choice but to continue to do what you know on some level is not in your best interest. Unhelpful habits can sometimes seem to have a mind of their own and as a result, these behaviours are repeated automatically, often with little conscious awareness. This happens because habitual patterns of behaviour are controlled by the subconscious part of our minds, they are learnt behaviours or ‘programs’ that run automatically when triggered by certain situations or emotions. Though we may want to change the pattern at a conscious level, the subconscious will continue to run the program as it has no awareness that change is necessary. How hypnosis helps break bad or unhelpful habits Because habits are a subconscious behaviour and stem from the subconscious mind, they need to be changed at a subconscious level and this is where hypnosis helps. In a trance state the subconscious mind is very open to useful suggestion and can often be encouraged or retrained to find more creative and less harmful ways of achieving what the habit achieves for you. In this way habits are changed without any stress or anxiety. ____________________________________ Featured Testimonial: "Rayeleen, I just wanted to say a sincere thank you for an amazing experience last Friday. 12.01.2022 There are always reasons you will find to not stop smoking, these are just rationalisations of an addicted brain. It is better to place your attention on the myriad of reasons to stop smoking as soon as possible, because there is always a reason not to. There is always going to be a stressful time, there is always going to be an event, there is always going to be something in the future that, as a smoker, you may want to smoke for or through. Becoming a nonsmoker is having cigarettes and nicotine become irrelevant to you in your life. There are billions of people that have stress, that party, that play, that enjoy vacations where cigarettes are completely irrelevant. That is the state you want to attain, and waiting for some magical moment in the future, a moment that never comes, is just putting off the inevitable.

08.01.2022 Smokers who are trying to cut back by vaping every day are running a very high risk of a heart attack. The practicewhich is common among smokersincreases the chances of an attack five-fold. Even vaping on its own nearly doubles the risks of an attack, a major new study has discovered. Most smokers are also vaping because they think it's a safe way to cut back on cigarettes, but they would be better off just smoking the real thing, say researchers from the University of Cali...fornia at San Francisco. Not that either approach is great: people who just vape (smoking e-cigarettes) nearly double the risk of a heart attack, but those who vape and continue smoking raise the chances five-fold compared to a non-smoker, the researchers found after surveying nearly 70,000 people. The one piece of good news is that people who quit cigarettes see their heart attack risk drop 'significantly'. "While people may think they are reducing their health risks, we found that the heart attack risk of e-cigarettes adds to the risk of smoking cigarettes. Using both products at the same time is worse than using either one separately," said lead researcher Stanton Glantz. Electronic cigarettes have been considered safer because they deliver an aerosol of nicotine by heating a liquid, but while they are producing lower levels of carcinogens, they send out ultrafine particles and other toxins that have been linked to cardiovascular disease and non-cancerous lung problems. Glantz and his researchers surveyed 69,452 smokers and nonsmokers; of the 9,352 current and former e-cigarette users, 333, or 3.6 per cent, had suffered a heart attack, but this rose to 6.1 per cent among those who vaped every day. The odds of having a heart attack were roughly the same whether you vaped or smoked conventional cigarettesand were around double that of a non-smokerbut it increased 4.6 times for those who were combining vaping with cigarettes. Former smokers and occasional and former e-cigarette users see their risk drop dramatically and quickly.
