25.01.2022 Its been some time since I've posted on here. I was trying to find the right words to describe this whole journey, and not many can. Coming on this project i had a lot of emotions, both scared of the unknown yet excited to be following my dream, giving back to a culture that i love and being apart of a cause im passionate about. At first it was daunting not knowing alot of spanish but in no time i picked up on some words. The women were so beautiful and egar to learn, just th...eir energy to learn and embrace new things was incredible, as well as their strength to take on learning a new skill that may lead to a different avenue in their life. I don't believe in changing people's lives but i personally believe in impacting on them. By having the with these two hands program we allow women to have a choice of careers by offering this skill. Along with learning a new skill the women develope confidence in their abilities and themselves, seeing this first hand really made me realise the impact of a simple act of compassion and spreading a passion of a skill. Domestic violence is an issue prevelant in Ecuador and allowing the women to have a choice of career, independence and confidence in themselves helps minimize this to an extent. It also helps the women who have lost their husbands, earn money as well as young mums just trying to make a living to get by. Cassandra has put together such an amazing program that has run over the past few years and has had support from babarita and cenit who allow the program to continue in the absence of cassandra and volunteers. The gratitude from these women really touched my heart the chaos, the laughs, the miscommunications, the passion it was all an unforgettable experience. A massive impact on all this was juri and jule these two amazing people translated for me and were always encouraging. Their energy and willingness to be apart of the program was incredible. So firstly much love to Cass you're one hell of a woman this has been unforgettable, much love to Jur and Jule you both were so inspiring, much love to cenit and babarita for all your support, most of all much love to these women for not giving up and always showing up. 12.01.2022 Milena . This talented young woman is the daughter of one of the women (Carmita) who has been attending the WT2H taller de belleza for four years. It’s such a pleasure to see her creative talent!

12.01.2022 Last week the women put on a show at their graduation. They have been training with Centro Ocupacional Fashion Internacional and CENIT. Barbra the owner of the hairdressing college has been giving up her time weekly to teach the women hair and beauty skills at the project while also inviting them into her college to expand their skill set. We’re so proud of the dedication involved all round and not to mention these skills!

10.01.2022 During isolation in Ecuador, the wonderful women are still maintaining their skills at home. Here is Milena, the daughter of Carmita who has been involved with WT2H since we started in 2015. Milena used to visit the project after school and became a student last year. Prior to isolation, both gorgeous women continued to attend hairdressing classes on Saturdays at @fashion_internacional to continue up skilling. The confidence built over time doesn’t stop them practicing at home, sheer dedication. @ Quito, Ecuador

09.01.2022 Join me in thanking Jasmine for heading out to Ecuador this year taking an armour of skills and love for the women attending our program. Here she is expressing her gratitude at the graduation last week. The women put on a show to demonstrate what they’ve been learning (check out our recent posts here and more on Instagram). We’re so thankful Jasmine came into our lives and for giving up her tome to be there for our women

04.01.2022 Lately some of the women have been going to the @fashion_internacional college on Saturdays for extra training Barbra, the college director has opened her heart and door extending the opportunity beyond the classes she teaches at @cenitecuador
