WES specialises in the manufacture and repair of mining, rail, marine, power generation and oil & gas equipment in a Modern work shop with 20+ CNC Machines WES requires the services of 3 quality skilled CNC machinists at the top of their game to run the following machines:... Horizontal Borer - Machining Envelope 2000mm X 1800mm X 1700mm,Capacity with, Rotary B angle head Attachment Fanuc Control System. Twin Column Vertical Mill, Machining envelope - X- 4000mm, Y-2000mm, Z-1500mm, complete with Angle head, 5 automatic Indexing Fanuc Control System. Horizontal Bed Milling machine Machining envelope 6500 x 1000 x 1800 6 position Automatic Angle Head Heidenheim Control System. Dependant on your level of your skill and expertise you could operate as a multi skilled CNC machinist completing jobs from programming to end of machining requirements. You would be responsible for the overall operation of the machine, its maintenance, cleanliness, productivity and standard of work produced. Responsibilities Meticulously create, edit &/or modify programs for job as necessary within skill level Programming using CAM Software (Mastercam/GibbsCam) preferred but not essential Able to read and understand mechanical drawings Good understanding of ISO G-code programming Setting up of machine CNC Machine parts & components as required Select tools, cutters and inserts as required Able to determine the most efficient work holding methods & manufacturing Process Carry out tasks as directed by the workshop Manager & Foreman Use precision measuring equipment Complete machining dimensional inspection sheets Monitor equipment condition, report and follow through any faults Day to day cleanliness & maintenance of machine An attractive remuneration rate is available for the successful applicant/s ranging from $32.00 to $42.00 per hour plus penalties and will be based on the applicant’s level of ability and expertise to produce the work to a very high standard, efficiently and on time. Normal Workshop hours are from 6:00am till 5:00pm Monday to Friday and 6:00am till 11:00am Saturday. Successful applicants are encouraged to work approx. 50hrs per week within the above normal workshop hours, although actual hours are negotiable.
