18.01.2022 To our valued clients and suppliers, I just wanted to touch base with you all to update you on how we will be conducting business in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Firstly, let me assure you that we will continue operating. The economic stimulus measures introduced by the government are inextricably linked to the tax system and so accountant/tax agents have been declared an essential service.... However, in the interest of the health and safety of our staff and their families, the office doors will be closed to the public from 30 March 2020 until further notice. That being said, one of our staff will be in the office Monday to Friday to answer telephone enquiries and make appointment times for telephone appointments. The rest of our staff will be working remotely. Wendy will be available for telephone appointments Monday - Thursday between 11am and 7pm. Please be aware that the staff member manning the phones will change from day to day according to our skeleton crew roster. Therefore, the person who answers your call may not be equipped to assist you with your query, however, leave a message with them and they will notify a staff member who will be able to assist you. That person will return your call as soon as is possible. In addition to telephone appointments you can still post or email your work in as usual. You can also drop your work in the mail slot at the office if required. We ask for your patience during this time as working in such a disconnected manner will likely provide its own challenges. 15.01.2022 Do you have to lodge a TPAR - Taxable Payment Annual Report? If you are involved in a business providing services and make payments to contractors, subcontractors or consultants you will need to lodge a TPAR report. To avoid fines from the ATO you have until 28th August to lodge these reports. If you have a study or training loan and earn $45,881 or more during the 201920... financial year, youll be required to make compulsory repayments.
