17.01.2022 There are some fabulous female referee role models for any girls considering giving it a go! Did you see Amy Perrett make her Super Rugby debut recently? On a local level we are so very fortunate to have Lauren Kelly as a Referee Development Officer - another one of our esteemed speakers at the Mum’s Intro to Rugby night each season. Lauren started reffing in Newcastle back in 2010 after finally hanging up her boots from 15 years of playing local rugby and representing Hunte...r, Country NSW and NSW in the front row. She refereed at most of the National 7s and 15s tournaments around Australia before being appointed as the Head Referee Coach for the Womens program but always tries to make herself available to support local rugby Clubs and encourage girls into the referee pathway. Thank you to all of our sponsors, committee members, volunteers, players, parents and supporters for embracing the challenges before us and helping us make the most of this brief 2020 season. Unfortunately we won't be having our traditional Presentation Day celebrations but all players will be gifted a token of thanks from the Club for their dedication and commitment to Wanderers during this tough year. We have several players hitting Game Milestones at the end of this season and we would like to recognise these players and congratulate them on this achievement:
