22.01.2022 Good luck to all the fighters on tonights card. Its good to see a few Nth Qld teams make the trip down. Let hope next time therell be more. Whod like to see a WKA sanctioned night time fight show in Nth Qld before the end of the year is up?

19.01.2022 Its with deep regret that we announce the immediate cancellation of the WKA Fight Night & Traditional Skills event of 2020. We will always put our martial art...ists and supporters safety first and in light of the government announcement regarding gatherings of 500 people or more we feel that to continue at this stage would be irresponsible at best. We would like to sincerely apologise to all fighters matched and their coaches as we know a lot of hard work will already have been done. We would also like to apologise to all the mixed martial artists who (as we know) have been working tirelessly on their traditional skills in preparation for May 30. This decision was not taken lightly. Any ticket purchases for this show will of course be valid for a refund. Dates for the next sanctioning will be posted at a later date. Regards, WKA Queensland

05.01.2022 NEWS FLASH After a lot of deliberation we’ve decided to hold off on holding any tournaments this year. We’ve run two tournaments a year since 2014. Which have been super successful. This year would have made 10. We’ve decided to take a break from running tournaments and we will be spending our time focusing on other interests. But don’t worry the WKA NQ is not dead we will be available for sanctioning of events and we will be assisting WKA Qld with their tournaments.... When we decided to start the tournaments we did so because there was a serious lack of tournaments for local martial artist to test their skills without traveling 100’s of kms. What as followed is a steady stream of tournaments starting up. This is great. Mission accomplished. We look forward to seeing everyone’s successes and supporting others in doing the same. Watch this space though because WKA globally is making moves. See you all on the competition circuit.
