16.01.2022 AWARDS | Each year, WLAQ recognises the achievements of women in Queensland's legal profession through the conferral of its Annual Awards. This year can be described as unique, challenging, stressful, disruptive and perhaps even rewarding, with many lessons learned about the way in which we practice and interact with our peers. For WLAQ’s 42nd Annual Awards and in recognition of the year that has been 2020, WLAQ decided to not call for nominations for its Annual Awards or ho...st an in-person dinner. Rather, we decided to host an online event to announce who WLAQ considers to be the 2020 Leneen Forde AC Woman Lawyer of the Year, the Regional Woman Lawyer of the Year and the Emergent Woman Lawyer of the Year. President Catherine Cheek is proud to announce YOU as the Award recipient for 2020, in recognition of your contributions, and for your commitment, to the legal profession. To celebrate this occasion, we collated a number of short videos from members of WLAQ which you can view online here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4EOYCGj8YA&feature=youtu.be #WLAQ2020
